The plastic door opener melts!
I used the back burner on my stove for the first time today and then tried to open the microwave door, but it just jammed in and would not open the door. LCD broke in 18 months
Terrible!!! The LCD light which displays the power level, time and timer flat out broke on me after about a year and half--just after warranty expired. The microwave still functions, but imagine trying to use it without the LCD. Read full review »
This microwave does NOT vent!
Congratulations for reading this before you buy, I didn't and found out the hard way that this over-the-range microwave doesn't vent!
Oh, sure, it has a fan button, and it makes a lot of noise, but nothing is moved from under the unit. I can hold a piece of tissue next to the right side...

Just right

Major problem with design
It may look pretty, but as an over the range microwave oven it provides nothing but headaches. Even a modest amount of heat from the cook top below causes the microwave oven's pushbutton door latch to deform (melt?) because Sharp chose to save money with plastic rather than metal interior parts...
