My thoughts on Schindlers list
This is an amazing true story about an incredible man who changed the lives of 1100 jews during the second world war. I would recomment the film to anyone who enjoys films about the war. The film contains quite alot of violence. The film shows you the achievements of Oskar Schindler. He had jews... Read full review »
Schindler's List - One Man Can Make a Difference
It's hard to believe sometimes that there are still those that deny the Holocaust happened. Not only were there disbelievers as to the reports of what was happening when it began seeping out of Germany and other countries under Nazi control during the time leading up to the Second World War... So touching and so sad
This movie is one of the most powerful movies I've ever seen. I watched it with my history class, and many people were in tears at the end. It was an incredible movie that perfectly portrayed what the time was like, and what took place in Schindler's factory in attempt to save the Jewish people... Read full review »
Haunting...this movie will stay with you forever
Wow. That's all I can really say to sum up this movie. It is a very dramatic, haunting, well told story that has been turned into a movie that will stick with you for the rest of your life. This movie is a beautiful creation. It is a good addition to any movie collection. Read full review »
Had a strong impact on me.
I remember watching Schindler's List for the first time in high school. It is very informative and interesting. It leaves a very strong impact in your mind. It's very sad but it's something that people need to know that this really did happen. Definitely not for young... Read full review »
moving
This story is very moving and based on factual events. It is quite long, but the length of the movie is worth it in the end. It is so sad to see what really happened to Jewish people during the Nazi occupation, but it is refreshing to see how one man sought to do what he could to save... Read full review »

A film I could watch again and again
This is a film I could watch again and again. A film that was needed, a very heart wrenching account of what happened during world war 2.
I think every one needs to watch this film so no one can ever forget what happened to these people.

Great story in a terrible situation
This movie is about one man's humanitarian effort to save Jews during World War II. It was a good story but the subject matter was very intense. The movie was long too. Read full review »
A must see
This is one of those movies that you must see. I wouldn't say it's enjoyable or entertaining because it is about an event so horrible. But it is part of our history, something you must see. And it is a brilliant movie. Read full review »

Hauntingly good film
This is a haunting, harrowing reminder of the tragedy - and heroism - that happened to ordinary people during the Holocaust. Based on the true story of Oscar Schindler, this is an amazing film that you won't soon forget. Read full review »

Been There- Again
Schindler's List is a movie about the holocaust. More directly a movie about a man who saved many Jews from the concentration camps and certain death. It has its share of problems- its way too lengthy and bloated. Ironically the best acting is done by Ralph Fiennes who is superb as a sadistic Nazi... Read full review »
"Heartbreaking and inspiring"
If you love true stories interwoven with a time of war, then I highly recommend Schindler's List. Liam Neesan is superb as the main character as Schindler, and his role with the suffering Jews under Hitler's regime during WW11. If you have never watched this movie, you will not be disappointed. I Couldn't Look Away
Part of me did not want to have to review "Schindler's List" when I got a call from my girlfriend just as the movie was ending last night. But once she was off the phone I turned it back on anyway, although by that point the only scene left was the parade of Schindler Jews and actors past... Read full review »

~~ THIS LIST IS LIFE ~ OSCAR WINNER SCHINDLER'S LIST ~~
Brace yourself, this is not a feel good, popcorn & twizzler movie. This is a step back in time, to World War 2, to walk in the footsteps of the Nazis, the Jews, and those caught in the middle. Steven Spielberg of ET and Jurassic Park fame created a heartfelt masterpiece that will live forever in my... Read full review »
A Moving Film
Steven Spielberg has directed many 'silver screen' masterpieces, this being another. The audience is guaranteed to be touched by this rarely seen serious side of Spielberg. The audience is also bound to be captivated by the events of the movie, especially since virtually all of them are very... Read full review »

Schindler's List (Widescreen Edition) [VHS]
Steven Spielberg had a banner year in 1993. He scored one of his biggest commercial hits that summer with the mega-hit Jurassic Park, but it was the artistic and critical triumph of Schindler's List that Spielberg called the most satisfying experience of my career. Adapted from the best-selling book by Thomas Keneally and filmed in Poland with an emphasis on absolute authenticity, Spielberg's masterpiece ranks among the greatest films ever made about the Holocaust during World War II. It's a film about heroism with an unlikely hero at its center--Catholic war profiteer Oskar Schindler (Liam Neeson), who risked his life and went bankrupt to save more than 1,000 Jews from certain death in concentration camps. By employing Jews in his crockery factory manufacturing goods for the German army, Schindler ensures their survival against terrifying odds. At the same time, he must remain solvent with the help of a Jewish accountant (Ben Kingsley) and negotiate business with a vicious, obstinate Nazi commandant (Ralph Fiennes) who enjoys shooting Jews as target practice from the balcony of his villa overlooking a prison camp. Schindler's List gains much of its power not by trying to explain Schindler's motivations, but by dramatizing the delicate diplomacy and determination with which he carried out his generous deeds. As a drinker and womanizer who thought nothing of associating with Nazis, Schindler was hardly a model of decency; the film is largely about his transformation in response to the horror around him. Spielberg doesn't flinch from that horror, and the result is a film that combines remarkable humanity with abhorrent inhumanity--a film that functions as a powerful history lesson and a testament to the resilience of the human spirit in the context of a living nightmare. --Jeff Shannon
