Katana II: Not Too Shabby
I've had a Sanyo SCP-6650 "Katana II" for ten months, with a Sprint family plan, and I kinda like it. When we signed up for cellular service, we told the salesman where we live -- way out in the boonie-weeds -- and he basically handed us this phone and said "you'll want this one, it has the best... Phone was worth the investment
I recently upgraded my phone to the Katana LX which is the predecessor to the Katana II. This is a great phone it's sleek and stylish and has that look that is professional, but not too over the top. It's got many features with the exception of tv since it's not compatible with the software needed... Read full review »
Good reliable phone
I have had this phone for about a year and have had no desire to upgrade or switch. It has a very easy to use interface and simple layout that still looks really cool. It is really slim and fits perfectly in the tightest pockets. The battery life is amazing. If I only use it for limited amounts... Read full review »
A Sleek, Simple Phone
I've had this phone for about a year now, and I can't complain about it. I love how sleek it is, my friends are still complimenting me on how much they like my phone. But don't get me wrong, this phone has no bells and whistles at all. It reminds me a lot of the RAZR, except much more durable. I've... Read full review »
My Dependable Easy-to-Use Sanyo Katana Cellular phone
I just recently switched to a new cellular phone, the Sanyo Katana Sprint vision phone. It provides me with a level of technological advances far superior to the old phone it has replaced.
Battery Charging
The most important improvement I have noticed with my new phone is...

Solid Phone in Terms of Basics
I upgraded to a Sanyo Katana Deluxe from a Samsung A900 after having reception problems with the A900. The A900 was purchased new and worked very well for a number of months then suddenly started having bad reception problems. I have the insurance policy on the phone through Sprint, and the A900... LOVE IT!
I had a Katana and I absolutly loved it. I got it about a year ago and it was great. It fit perfectly in my hands, it had great features with the camera phone. The numbers were easy to hit, and easy to text with. It was bluetooth accesable and I had an ear piece which of course helped whenever I... Read full review »
Excellent coverage in rural areas plus COOL!
I researched LOTS of phones and I decided on this phone for 2 reasons: it would give the best coverage in hard-to-reach areas and it's COOL! After using this phone for 1 year, I have been 100% satisfied that both of my reasons were completely accurate.

Sanyo Katana
I decided to get the Sanyo Katana (Blue) offered through Sprint when my old Sanyo cellular phone became too old to service. This will have been my third consecutive cellular phone made by Sanyo, and like all the ones prior to it offers all the bang for the buck! This phone in my opinion (based on... Read full review »
Simple Camera Phone
The Sanyo 6600 Katana cellular phone is a nice simple camera phone. It doesn't do anything fancy, like play mp3s or take videos, but it does everything I need my phone to do.
The phone is nice and slim; I can fit it in my pocket easily. The camera is decent. I love the color (mine is...

Katana
I really like this phone. Small, easy to use and the screen is much better than its competitors. It feels almost weightless on my hip! Wow...but can hardly hear the ring tones and must use the weak vibration mode. Although I am looking to upgrade, I am looking into the newer version. Read full review »
Sanyo Katana - A Sleek, Slim, Easy to Use Cell Phone
Cell phone service had been available in my area for several years before I finally got one. I did like that two of my previous phones were flip phones, but I wasn't happy with other aspects of them. Earlier this year I ended up switching to Sprint and I got the Sanyo Katana cell phone in cherry... Read full review »
Meh.
I got this phone on a three year Bell Mobility contract. I was quite excited about it's sleek design, similar to the Motorola Razr, but with a more defined keypad. I also was quite fond of the larger than average screen, with vibrant colour.
The camera, well, that's debatable. I find it...

my little black katana
The phone is overall okay. This is the basic camera phone with blue tooth & speaker phone. Compact in design. Contains a few games, limited ring tones and 2 screen savers. Read full review »
Blue Ver. Katana
it's been about 6 months, I have had Sanyo Katana Mobile Phone with Sprint. I purchased the phone at the costco for $50, which includes auto battery charger, wired head set and Leather Cover (i refuse to use the cover). Only down side purchasing this phone at costco was limited choice in color... Read full review »
A very well built phone with good sound and easy to use
I have had 3 Sprint phones this month, the first was the Sanyo 3100,sent that back as the key pad was a pain to use and the phone looked and was built like a toy. Then I got a Katana, arrived used and a bit beat up;Sprint then sent me a Samsung M610 which I also reviewd on this site, the M610 is a... I wish I would have never upgraded to a Katana
Since my old cell phone was outdated and the battery wasn't lasting long I decided to upgrade to a Katana. I researched on the net and it is suppose to have a 3 hour battery life and great signal.
I was so excited about having it that once I fully charged it I started making phone calls...

Great phone
I just recently bought this phone. I think the design is great and it's slim enough to fit comfortably in my jean pocket. Doesn't have a lot of amazing features and the camera isn't top of the line, but for the amount i payed for it, it's totally worth it. Read full review »
Cool pink, slim phone
Never a big fan of the Razr (too thin, delicate, and everyone has one...), I was thrilled to see this phone on display, and even more exicted that it was pink! I ordered it through Sprint (extended my contract for 2 years), payed $129 with an $80 MIR, so final cost is $49. I love the size, shape,... Read full review »
great phone
I absolutely LOVE this phone. I have always had good luck with sanyo products. I have the white katana, which i have seen no one with yet. Its thin and light and fits easily into my back pocket. The screen is a nice size and the buttons are easy to punch. The phone itself is pretty easy to... Read full review »
