I have bought this device 2 times, and both of those times it has failed. seemed like a good idea at the time

Not bad - a lot of potential
I've had my e260 for 4 months now without a problem. The screens, while it is possible to break them, are about 4 times as strong as an ipod nano screen. I like it
The flaws really aren't that big of a deal and can be easily compensated for. The charging VIA the USB can be fixed with an adaptor which can be bought pretty much anywhere and from any company.
