Pros Multi-format, ethernet connection for software updates

Cons Speaker test needs a fix, as does 100Hz crossover for analog multi-channel audio output.
Recommended it? Yes

One day in and I can't find a much of a downside to this player.

Hooked up via component (sorry no HDMI on either my TV or AV Receiver) to a 1080i 65" Mitsubishi WS-65907 (viewed from 12 feet) via an Onkyo TX-DS989.

No problems with playing back any media so far.

Pros Plays both Blu-Ray and HDDVD for $200 less than the LG.
Cons You can't get one ANYWHERE...yet! No DVD Upscaling on component outputs.
Recommended it? Yes

UPDATE: This review was written BEFORE Toshiba gave up on HD-DVD. If you are looking to buy a high-def player, and have not accumulated a library of HD-DVD titles, save your money and get a Blu-Ray only player. If you have an existing library that includes HD-DVD titles, read on...
