Excellent inexpensive text printer
I have owned this printer for 7 months. The 'demo' toner cartridge that comes with the printer is supposed to last 1500 pages. Good laser printer on a budget
The biggest point in favor of this printer is that (when I was researching, in Oct 2001 time frame), this was the only affordable laser printer. Perfect home laser!

Great basic printer
I bought this printer mainly because I needed a printer that was compatible with Mac OS X, and I read some other reports on the net that Samsung had working drivers for Mac OS X 10.1. I got it for only $149 minus a $50 rebate = $99 from Fry's Electronics.

Low price but poor gray scale text
I own this printer now for 7 months and basically I think you get what you pay for. It prints standard black text documents very clean and very fast. Perfect Fit
I am a law student. I print out about 50 pages of pure text a day. All my life I had used inkjet printers for home use because I was worried about the price and the mulitple parts you needed to worry about with a laser printer... i.e. toner, developer etc. In comes the ml-1210.

Excellent printer, excellent price, seems to be made by HP which means Quality
Can't afford that new HP printer around $400? Why not buy the Samsung ML-1210, it's basically the same as an HP, in fact, I'd bet it really is an HP. Allow me to explain.

Good personal quality printer
