Steams like a dream!
Not only do I need a good iron for ironing my clothes, but I also do a lot of sewing which requires me to iron extensively. "Rolls Royce" Iron !!
Update: Feb 5 2012 People can say what they want about this iron, but I've accidentally dropped mine about 4 feet onto the carpeted floor twice and it still works like a charm. The Rowenta brand is definitely engrained in my brain now.

second bad one I've owned
This is the second rowenta iron I have had. Like the first one, the automatic shut off stinks. It keeps turning itself off and won't come back on. I must unplug it and let it cool off. Don't Waste Your Money
This is the first and last Rowenta iron I will buy. Mine lasted 2 years w/average use. Now, after 10 seconds of use, the auto shut-off engages.
