Cheapo RIval 8420 Died after 5 uses (4 1/2 hours use)
I purchased the Rival 8420 a few years back. I used the unit 5 times, then it quit working. No hum, no growl, no nothing. I like the the machine when it was working. Rival 8420 - Cheap
I bought two of these a few years ago because they were hard to find, and in case one of them broke.
Sure enough, one of them did - but not before it malfunctioned and ruined a batch of ice cream. For some reason the dasher did not engage the central drive gear. As a result the ice cream...
