Beware ! Crock Pot from Hell!
If you like your food BURNED then buy this crock pot! What a shame! It's worse than a nuclear meltdown. We ruined too much food hoping that "next time" it would be OK. I don't know what the problem is but Rival really should discontinue this model. I sent it to the landfill today. Bon Voyage! Read full review »
Burn, baby, burn
I'm so glad to know I'm not the only one who had problems with food burning in this crock pot. Yesterday I put vegetables, chicken breast tenders, and two cans of chicken broth in it at the 12-hour setting. I came home 9 hours later, and I had overcooked chicken at the top and charcoal at the... Read full review »
Too hot to handle!
I bought this at Linens N Things for about $35.00. I thought I had a defective one because it cooked at way too high a temperature, even for the lowest setting. I contacted Rival and they suggested that I exchange it at the store. I did and the new one is just the same as the old one. Overcooked... Read full review »
Rival Crock Pot Cracked
I am currently on my third Rival crock pot. I returned the first because it cooked my food way too fast and burned my meals. The second one did the same thing. I then went to a model that did not have the push button electronic controls. But this also cooked my food so fast that the food touching... Read full review »
Burn, Baby, Burn
I received this for Christmas, and the first time I used it, it burned the food in less than 2 hours. That was on the LOW setting! I've used this same recipe in a different crock numerous times, and it's never burned before. Also, the outside of this thing got so hot that I couldn't touch it! I'll... Read full review »
Crockpot that barbecues food
Burns the food it is supposed to cook slowly; and possibly all your wordly possessions along with it. I tried some home-style ribs as a first recipe and set the crock pot on low. After four hours the ribs were black and burnt. If I had left the crock pot on low for the 8 to 10 hours the recipe... Read full review »
Don't buy this Crockpot!
I received this for Christmas as a gift. I liked the appearance and the fact that it was a larger capacity than my 20+ year old one. I need to use my crock pot at least once a week and must depend on leaving it unattended even on high setting. This has never been a problem with my old one.

This pot is a CROCK - Don't buy it !
Cooks too hot on high and low settings. Violates their statement of liquids won't boil, thus need only small amounts to cook. Boils liquids away, cooks so fast it burns the food. Spits the liquid all over the place. Purchased to replace a manual switch crock so we could leave it unattended. WOULD... Read full review »
AVOID THIS PRODUCT!
I love the idea of cooking in a slow cooker and was excited to buy this product. I should have saved my time and money. Like other reviewers have mentioned this slow cooker burned everything I cooked! I used it more than once, thinking perhaps I had just made a mistake with the first recipe but the... Lid doesn't seal; food boils on warm temp
My cooking experience with this Crock Pot was EXACTLY the same as the review by rediba on Nov. 10. The lid doesn't fit tightly. Water condenses and runs down onto the counter. Used it twice, including one recipe from the manual that came with it, that would be assumed to work in this model. It... Read full review »
