Great Little Unit
The price and feature set of these small players appealed to me. The main thing I wanted was a simple MP3 player for my audio books to listen to on my commute to work. It suffices quite well for that.

Look elsewhere
This is a completely revised review. When I first got my mp3 player I thought it was too good to be true. I was right. My first unit wouldn't charge after a week of use so I had to call up customer support and get a new unit. That one worked fine for a while but now that is starting to go on me... Read full review »
Fabulous !
I purchased the Ipod mini for my wife for Christmas ($249), which is very nice and extremely easy to use. Then we saw the Rave ARC 2.5 at Costco for $159, so she bought it for me.

Rave MP ARC 2.5 is bad bad bad
This mp3 player is awful I wish I had never gotten it. The sound is awful (and I have tried changing earbuds)it always sounds fuzzy and tinny. The voice recorder is just as bad. But my number one beef with this horrible piece of equipment is that when you sync with your computer, no files staring... Read full review »
Absolute crap!
Don't bother with this product. I bought 3 for my kids for Christmas and 2 didn't work. Tech support number is disconnected or wrong. E-mail tech support was returned as refused by server. I'll stick with my CD-MP3 player
My first player was the first Rio. Holds about 10 songs, takes about 5 min to change them. I still use it when I go for a long walk.
Next was a CD-MP3 player, and I have a CD case in my car with various collections. About 150 songs, and it takes about 10 min to choose what you want and burn...

It can hold many songs, but you cannot group the music into separate playlists
