From using this phone since the launch date of the 9700 can give me a very honest opinion and review. Being an upgraded model from the 9000 gave it better upgrades from the older bold sleeker slimmer and has the optical track pad.

I fell in love with this phone the first day i got it , the slimmer design made it easier for the 9700 to fit in my hand just perfectly instead of the older 9000 having me to stretch my hand just out a little bit more so i could hold it just right in my hand. The sleekness makes it look cosmetically nicer and pleasurably viewing to the eye. What i loved the most from the upgrade was the track pad made me move faster and easier than the older 9000's trackball , if the trackball is moving a bit fast you change the sensitivity thats one of my favorites of the 9700 in particular.

As far Network goes , the performance is okay it runs on a 3g network but you can switch from 3g to edge but 3g isnt very reliable it is fast on the blackberry's browser but the 3g does tend to fade and go to edge . Like most berry's the 9700 is wifi compatible which is a great add to the phone . Everything else about the network is pretty straight forward.

Around the phone has a full qwerty keyboard which is must for all buisness workers , optical track pad blackberry key back key call and end key. Covering all sides of the 9700 is a very nice chrome bezel which is a great cosmetic add. On the left side of the phone is a 3.5 mm jack below is the micro usb plug in and below that is user definable key. Behind the phone has a 3.2 mp camera which is very nice and clear with flash and a very nice kind of like a pleather type material . The right side of the phone is a dedicated camera button , and the volume rocker . As far the build quality phone is amazing very good quality after dropping it multiple time still working like the day i opened up the puppy .

But i eventually did switch from the 9700 to the iphone was a big change to me . There's different opinion for different people for me i enjoyed the iphone better than the blackberry but as i said different people like different things. Overall great product.
