1st blackberry
After my Chief and got this phone I started looking at it more and learned that soon there will be an app that will allow us to look up driver's licenses and car registrations through Jnet. So this moved me to try a blackberry. I must say I am VERY impressed with this phone. Not so much with the $299 it cost me (-$100 rebate) and especially the extra $30 ATT makes you add to you monthly bill for unlimited text & data. Only to later learn that you can't activate the visual voicemail because blackberrys need thier OWN "special" unlimited data plan that doesn't include text msgs.
So ATT needs to get thier heads out of their rectums and stop screwing over blackberry users. Because in order to get unlimited texts with your data plan you have to add ANOTHER $20 so you're tacking on $50 every month. So I told them to bite me and leave my plan alone, I'll forgo the visual voicemail and whatever else, since ithe browser and everything else works just fine.
As other reviewers have noted, if you are not used to using one it can be fun and rewarding, yet fustrating as you try to find simple things such are changing the ring tone if you are coming from a "dumb phone". The one thing that I though was cool was that this phone can be sent up to ring different if its in the holster as opposed to sitting on a table. I'd like to know what triggers the in/out of holster smartness of the phone.
If you have a lot of contacts and need to have a calendar of reminders, internet access, an awsome camera that rivals regular point and shoot digital cameras, then you need one of these phones.
I haven't yet tried the phone in Europe, but I am expecting it to work better than the V365 since it is easier to set up the international dialing prefixes instead of guessing like I had to do last year.
