The unit was a boxing day buy last year - (2006) - within the first 10 days problems arose
We took one unit back to walmart - they replaced it over-the-counter.
The replacement unit has performed with "light" duty - maybe 4 hours per month - and is now hooped also.

Very pleased with this unit
I was surprised at how heavy the speakers are. This is a solid piece of equipment, works flawlessly and the sound quality is excellent. Excellent quality system. Well worth the price.
I bought this home theater and had the DVD playing through my TV right away. The sound quality was excellent. The DVD player worked flawlessly. Hooking it to the TV was a little more difficult.
