Awsome Graphics and Sound
For Games...this is the game to have. Really good graphics, sound. Fragging not for the weak!
Was I ever glad to see that Quake 3 was being developed for both the Mac and PC platform side by side. Once the release came out I was anxious to get a hold of a copy.

q3 with outdated system
Quake3 I think is intended for gamers out there with top of the line system, and also online connection... game of the year
A few friends of mine set up the lan (as usual for a weekend) we had two choices for games, q3 and unreal tournament. We played quake3 for the first 2 hours or so and then decided to give Unreal tournament a chance, that chance lasted 15 minutes - then it was back to q3 ;)

I LOVE IT!
It's called Quake 3 Arena because it's DM ONLY. Everyone knew going in that there was to be no single player. Why does everyone curse ID for having a multiplayer only game?
