My mother had one of these, and when I moved out, I really missed it.

The one she had is older and it had a detachable cord, but the one I have does not. It is better to me because I had problems with the cord falling out all the time. I also think the cord is longer now, too.

With one owned by my grandmother, I had to go out and buy one of my own. like another poster said hers came with a detachable cord that was very handy.
