Why doesn't everyone use one of these?
I remember as a kid when the Presto Fry Daddy came out. My folks liked it, but due to its rather puny size, it was considered more a household novelty than a useful appliance; something for cooking up the occasional batch of 'fast food' style fries. My dad thought it was great for frying... Read full review »
Everyday Is FRYday - Presto Granpappy Deep Fryer
My Diet: Well, I didn't say it was a healthy one.
..I've tried dieting before, but like most people, I was unable to hang on to it. The thought of hot, greasy, tempting fast food French fries has completely overpowered my own will. I'm sure I'm not the only one. Let's face it, it's just...

Perfect Bare-bones Fryer
This was my first deep fryer. I am currently looking for a larger fryer with a few more bells and whistles such as a fry basket. I am encountering difficulty though in finding a product that uses shortening. Many of them say it is "not recommended."
That's one of the best parts about this...

Yummy French Fries
I received this product as a Christmas gift last year. I never got around to using it because my husband joined the military and we have been moving a lot. I finally brought this out about 2 weeks ago, and I am ADDICTED!!!! Sure, fried foods might not be as healthy as baked or steamed, but WHO... Read full review »
Lets get to FRYIN'!!
I got this as a Christmas presents because I had been wanting one forever but never knew which kind to get. I am so happy my mother decided to get me this one.
It is very easy to use. First you remove the plastic cover this goes over the opening on the top(to store the oil that is left in it...

Great, great GranPappy needed!
Even though the Presto GranPappy 5410 is the largest model in the "fry..." line, it still is not big enough for a family of six. We just need something bigger when we do a deep-fried meal.
That is my only complaint about this fryer!
The fryer comes with a plastic lid that can be...

This Pappy is GRAND - and it makes food PRESTO quick!
My wife bought the Presto GranPappy 5410 over a year ago. We have used it daily some weeks and almost every week it is used.
We have two teenage children, and are always having their friends come by. If you are in our situation, you are always putting on a "feed" for these always hungry...

Oldie But Goodie!
I don't even remember when I bought my GranPappy. I started out with a Fry Baby around 20 years ago and shortly moved up to the GranPappy. At that time we weren't quite as ashamed as now at enjoying fried foods. In fact, I had Mable Hoffman's excellent book of recipes for the Presto fryers. These... Read full review »
My GranPappy was a GranBuy!!!
This has been one of the best buys I've ever made for my kitchen!
My husband loves my homefries I make in our GranPappy.
I bought this particular product after trying it out at a friends house! I found it to be so much easier to make fries in, that I had to have it!
When...

I like it. I like it alot.
The Presto GranPappy 5410 has its own coveted spot in my kitchen. I purchased it with my son in mind who is a big fan of fast food french fries. Well, he is seven years old and like most kids his age, changing an eating habit is just not in the cards. But that's ok. The rest of the family enjoys... Read full review »
Wow. Even more frying than with the daddy.
The Frydaddy, as my fans know, is a product that I absolutely adore. I'd never imagined the gourmet meals and treats that I could make with it until I stumbled onto it in Sears. And now, a friend of mine recently bought the Granpappy, and it's (believe it or not) even better, in that it's even... Read full review »
My GranPappy is the same age as my daughter
Four years ago we received two great additions to our family. The most important one of course is our youngest daughter but the other one has been a great asset to the family also, it's our GranPappy.
No this isn't my real grandfather's they have been gone a long time but this is the deep...

I can hear my arteries hardening already...
The grandaddy of 'em all. Presto GranPappy 5410 deep-fat fryer. Just the name itself reminds me of my cholesterol count.
Frying food is unhealthy. I know that and so does my family. But, who can resist fresh cooked french fries or deep fried mushrooms? I try hard to cook healthy foods for...
