Pros I love that you don't need to wear a chest strap.
Cons No problems here.
Recommended it? Yes

I recently purchased the Mio heart rate monitor to help with my marathon training. I have some time goals and the monitor really helps me to see if I am giving it enough effort or if I am overtraining. I don't run without it.

I got my husband one of these for Christmas. He wanted to monitor his heartrate during his workouts and squash games without having to wear a chest strap.

In order to get a readout on this watch, you have to push two buttons HARD for about half a minute. Needless to say, it is impossible... Read full review »

I bought a Mio watch approximately 2-3 years ago when they first came out. I have been very disappointed with its performance. The heart rate monitor never worked from day 1. Also, it would beep incessantly whenever I tried to use the light, and now there is no reading on it at all, despite the... Read full review »

Pros Lots of features, great tool for getting in shape.
Cons Warranty 1 year, watch stopped working after 1 year 3 months.
Recommended it? No

I bought the Mio sports watch because I started exercising to loose weight and wanted a better idea of the calories I was burning. The watch takes a little set up, but a lot of it is just a one time thing and then you are ready to use it. You have to set the time, calendar, resting heart rate, and... Read full review »

Pros Measures heart rate without a chest strap and tells # of calories burned
Cons Sometimes can't read heart rate if you're moving too fast for it.
Recommended it? Yes

I bought my Mio three years ago when they first came out. It worked well and served me decently for 3 years. I only had to change the battery once. It just died recently and when I went to get the battery changed they replaced it and it still wouldn't work so I'm assuming it's just dead. It is good... Read full review »

Pros Has heart rate tracker, calorie tracker, chronograph, does not need chest strap.
Cons Battery not changeable by average user. Very thin people have trouble getting a heart...
Recommended it? Yes

I went looking for a heart rate monitor and settled on a strapless model for myself. My reason for strapless was because I wear a weight vest when I walk and a strap just simply does not work well underneath it.

I did not some research and found that there was only 4 different... Read full review »
