Whoever Said Sticks and Power(Stones) cant break my bones?
When I first played this game down in the local arcade, I was hooked. Capcom has been known for making some of the best fighting games of all time (Examples such as Street Fighter 2 and the many subsequent variations thereof such as Street Fighter 2 Championship Edition, Darkstalkers, Marvel vs... This one is for the little ones. Nah, not you Olaf.
Powerstone is the most innovative fighter game to hit the Dreamcast. As with other Capcom games, it takes the violence from a cartoon standpoint. The action is highly simplistic, the moves are easy to learn and perform. Its definitely a good change to see in this genre, but the game itself isn't so... Read full review »
Never judge a game by its cover
By the cover, this game looks corny and childish. Let me tell you, this is the complete opposite of its reality. This game takes strategy and skill. It's graphics rock and so does the multiplayer. I've never seen a game like this. This is easily my favorite game for the Dreamcast. My brother was... Read full review »
Fun fun fun fun fun (for awhile)
This game is fresh. It is a 3d fighter mixed with the charms of Super Smash Brothers. The main premised is that powerstones are stones that once a player has three, that player then morphs into a superpowerful version of their character imbued with super moves for a limited time. At the beginning... Read full review »
Pure Power
This game is awesome and alot of fun. I find only one real thing wrong with this game the graphics. The graphics don't quite match up with all the other games out right now. More time could be spent on the graphics. And made this a truly great game. But enough about the bad graphics. This game has... Read full review »
My first Dreamcast fighting game.
This was my first fighting game for the Dreamcast, I am very happy with it. First off I guess the Dreamcast is not doing so well in my town :-( because I bought this at a game rental place were all their used Dreamcast games are $8.00. So I got a heck of a deal buying this game.

Power Stone - a classic game
I have to admit that when I got my Dreamcast a few years back. I went into it blind. Well, almost. I had no idea what games you got for it, what was coming out, nothing. I knew that there would be a Sonic the Hedgehog game for it, and I remembered seeing but never playing demo pods with something... Read full review »
The Real 3D Fighting Game
Capcom started the whole street fighter genre and fighting games in general, and it comes as no surprise when they decide to take it to a new level in gaming. Capcom has made a 3D fighter in which you are able to go anywhere and use anything in a fight. For example some of the abilities your... Read full review »
Even Capcom Slacks off now and then....
I love fighting games. It just so happens that Power Stone is classified as a fighting game. I don't own a Dreamcast (or a Playstation for that matter) But I often find myself at the homes of people who do posess these systems. Then I came across this game at one of my freinds' homes. What an... Read full review »
Powering up - a lateral move?
It seems like every game manufacturer is making fighting games nowadays. Everyone from Nintendo, makers of both Killer Instinct and Super Smash Bros., to Square, makers of Ergheiz and Tobal!, have added their own contributions to the genre. It's getting crowded in there, and how many more ways can... Read full review »

Power Stone
Packed with all the energy and over-the-top moves of a Jackie Chan movie, Power Stone revitalizes the fighting game genre with fully functional 3-D combat environments and frenzied strategy. Face your opponent in a London courtyard and you can hurl café chairs and tables at him before taking him out by swinging around a lamppost. Or fight in a dilapidated shopping mall, and beat your foe down with a giant stuffed teddy bear after tossing him through a storefront window. Each multilevel combat area is stocked with crates, barrels, clubs, even ray guns, and everything can be used as a weapon. Interactive fighting environments are fun, but what really sets Power Stone apart are the power stones. Collecting all three stones transforms the character into a superbeing, unlocking new and devastating attacks. Since the overall goal of the game is to beat up your opponent, and the superform lets you do the most damage, competition for the stones is fierce. If you're tired of the standard fighting game formula and want a little more, Power Stone is the game for you. It's a perfect translation of the arcade hit, and the uncomplicated, frantic combat will bring a grin to many a jaded gamer's face. --Mike Fehlauer Pros: Easy to learn, fast-paced gameplay 11 unique, multilevel, interactive fighting environments Great use of VMU Smooth, vivid, arcade-quality graphics Cons: Game may be too frantic for some players
