Pros Wireless Adapter, Gameplay, Graphics, Music, Additions
Cons No Trading Between Older Versions From Beginning, No Johto or Hoenn
Recommended it? Yes

Pokemon has long held the "fad" title, even though Nintendo would like to think the series will be popular forever, I'm sensing a major fallout in the Pokemon brand really soon. It's not that the Pokemon games aren't engaging (they certainly are deep despite the game's appearance), but I really... Read full review »

Pros wireless adapter included; new Training mode; EVERY POKEMON EVER!!!
Cons it really repeats a lot of the previous games in the series
Recommended it? Yes

Pokemon are at it again, invading innocent Game Boys everywhere. For those of you who have been living in a cave for the past ten or so years, Pokemon are critters (more on the critters part later) who are featured in a long line of video games published for Nintendo game systems. Pokemon Fire Red... Read full review »

Pokemon Firered: A Remake Of The Game That Started It All

Pros simple but deep gameplay, good connectivity with other Pokemon games, can complete your...
Cons not as deep as Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald, seems like a money grab, limited replay value
Recommended it? Yes

After playing through Pokemon Emerald I wanted to get another game where I could trade with so I could assemble a superior team to put on my Emerald cart for the Battle Frontier. The only way to unlock certain evolutions like Alakazam and Steelix is through trading, which this second cart would... Read full review »

Pros Great story, the presentation, and most of all the feeling of being a kid again.
Cons The similarities with this and Blue and Yellow.
Recommended it? Yes

Who doesn't remember all the time they spent on the playground sitting there trading cards and battling Pokemon? The best part of this game is that you feel like that once again, spending hours trying to convince your friend to give you his holographic Charzard. Then this game will definitely bring... Pros Great game, new additions, same exciting adventure.
Cons Game starts off slowly and some gym leaders are too easy.
Recommended it? Yes

Well here we go again, I must catch 'em all! To some people (including me), the Pokemon games are very fun and original. This game is no exception. You get the chance to play the old red version revamped and with new additions. Your goal is still the same though: be the best trainer ever.

Awesome remake

Pros Comes with extras, compatible with gameboy advance, SP, and DS/DS Lite
Cons Easy, simple storyline/gameplay
Recommended it? Yes

For those of us who were around during the early days of pokemon for the gameboy console--Pokemon red and blue, this game will probably hold a lot of appeal.

I am not as huge of a pokemon fanatic as I was in fourth grade, and thus have not kept up to date with all of the new pokemon that... Read full review »

Pros Wireless adaptor included with the game, there are new features in this game.
Cons Hard to find people to play with, not as long as ruby/sapphire.

Pokemon Fire Red and Leaf Green are nintendo's latest installments to the pokemon series. I will be talking about the Fire Red version since that is the one i play most frequently.

This game is made to be mostly a remake of the original Pokemon Red/Blue games that were very popular around... Read full review »

Pros better graphics, wireless adapter, new islands
Cons easy game, costs too much for its quality, low replay value
Recommended it? No

Pokemon FireRed is an improvement over the old Red and Blue versions. It has new islands, the wireless adapter, and more pokemon. However, this game is too easy and has low replay value. See, all you have to do in this game is to pick a strong party, teach them some good moves and you will win. I... Read full review »
