Only bottle that worked for my kids

bytdollar2 Apr 10, 2010

Pros Easy to Use, Great Design, Good Value
Recommended it? Yes

This is the only bottle that my baby would take after being breast fed exclusively for three months.  After my maternity leave was up, he refused a bottle but ended up finally using this one.  The drop in liners are convenient (no steralizing the bottles) and easy to use.  I... Read full review »

Another bottle that didn't work for us

We found the nipple to be way to big when my daughter was first born.  She had the hardest time sucking on it and when she could get anything out, alot would dribble out the side of her mouth.  I loved the idea of these but unfortunately they weren't for us.  They are well made and... Drop ins are not as easy as you think!

bySenoraE Apr 6, 2010

Pros Portable
Cons Overpriced
Recommended it? Yes

First of all, I thought drop ins were going to be the nicest thing, but they are more work than they're worth, in my opinion.  You have to make sure all the air is out by pushing the bottom up, otherwise your poor baby will end up with lots of tummy bubbles! Read full review »

Pros Easy to Use, Good Value, Great Design

We use these when we're out and about since it's easier to just clean the nipple and drop in a new bag. Great for reducing gas too! Read full review »

These bottles give my baby gas

Pros Disposable liners are convenient.
Cons Formula users BEWARE. Bottles NOT 8oz, so you can constipate your infant. Liners...

My first born used Dr. Brown and we had no problems at all with them. They are excellent but they made my son lazy on the breast because he didn't have to work as hard for his milk in a bottle. When I had my second baby I started with Dr. Brown's but then a friend of mine suggested the Playtex... Read full review »

Great starter bottle

byallnamestaken Mar 20, 2007
5 Helpfuls 6 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros Natural Latch nipple good for beginners, bottle easy to hold for parent.
Cons Liners are expensive and wasteful, graduation markings (oz / mL) difficult to read).
Recommended it? Yes

We had difficulties feeding our son as an infant for a few reasons, including the fact that he had acid reflux. So, he had to be bottle-fed. We found this bottle to be the one he took to the easiest and it was the best when we were initially switching between breast and bottle. It was recommended... Read full review »

Don't have to use Playtex bags

byanavedewol Aug 19, 2006
8 Helpfuls 9 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros easy clean-up, less gas and spit up
Cons same as everyone else, but I still love the bottle
Recommended it? Yes

I love the nurser, granted I have the same complaints of everyone else about losing the cap because it doesn't snap to the bottom or having to constantly squeeze the air out. In my opinion the bottle is still awesome. Clean-up is a cinch, my baby spits up less, and holds her own bottle (so can most... Read full review »

Playtex nurser still the best but has new flaws

byjschreiber Mar 26, 2006
4 Helpfuls 5 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros Baby can use easier; pretty colors; holes on the side
Cons Leaks; no longer have a place for the cap
Recommended it? Yes

I have tried many bottles but keep coming back to the Playtex Nurser, however, I recently purchased the Premium Nurser. The bottles are prettier and I love the holes in the side so I can attach it to her stroller. My main question for Playtex is "What do I do with the cap?" The premium also leaks... Playtex Premium Nurser Awesome Bottle, Cuter Than the Original

bysunstreeks Jan 2, 2005

Pros If you like Disposible bottles this is the best.
Cons Liners are soo expensive
Recommended it? Yes

I did not choose these great bottles for my baby girl and I'll explain why below but while I was working as an infant room lead teacher in a head start daycare, many moms did. I've used both and as far as I'm concerned the Playtex Nurser isn't better than the Playtex Original Nurser it's just... Read full review »

Helped stop leaking baby

Pros Lessens gas, and leaks. Great if also breast feeding because of fit in baby's mouth.
Cons Hard to burp.
Recommended it? Yes

My daughter gets a little excited when it comes time to eat. I was breast feeding and bottle feeding and wanted something that would lessen the nipple confusions. I decided to try these bottles. I was reluctant beings that they are a disposable bottle. I have since been delighted in finding that... Read full review »

Difficult to Burp

bylacyskittles Feb 10, 2004
10 Helpfuls 11 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros Prevents gas, easy to clean, great for traveling-no dirty bottles to carry.
Cons Extremely frustrating and difficult to push the air out throughout the feeding.
Recommended it? No

I love Playtex disposable bottles, however, the original and premium nurser are very difficult to burp. To begin feeding, air must be pushed out of the bag or drop in. If the bag or drop in is full of milk you simply push it up until a drop of milk comes out of the nipple. The problem is during a... Read full review »

Pros This nipple stopped my son from leaking
Cons Not a fan of disposable bottles in general

I still haven't found the perfect bottle for my son, but so far these are the ones we've settled on. Here are the some of the features of the Playtex Premium Nursers and their advantages/disadvantages:
