This is my review on the Plantronics Explorer 320 Bluetooth Wireless Headset. In order to comply with the new law about cell phone use and driving, I bought this Bluetooth headset to use with my new cell phone. Except for minor glitches, the headset is relatively comfortable to wear and use. It... Read full review »

Hard to Hear

Pros Compact
Cons Hard to control, hard to hear
Recommended it? No

After learning that my trusty plug-in earpiece was not compatible with my new cell phone, I decided to join the legion of Bluetooth headset wearers out there.

This piece of equipment advertises itself as a "hands free" device, but I have found that I have to press the thing into my ear in... Read full review »

Past Experience
I used to have those corded ear bud hands free earpieces with my old Nokia, Motorola, and Kyocera phones.
The diminutive ear piece comes with a charging cable that has a button-sized power connector with a slim power inverter.

Pros Works flawlessly
Cons Picks up too much sound around the device.
Recommended it? Yes

My Plantronics 320 has works flawlessly and connects without any proplem to my cell phone. The only negative is the microphone picks up any noises around, i.e. someone in the backseat or the A/C blowing towards the mouth piece.

Great device though! Read full review »

Pros Easy to use Great call quality
Cons None
Recommended it? Yes

I have to say I love my 320. It was very easy to pair with Sanyo Katana. The 320's single button controls are a breeze to use (Better than most on the market today). The call quality is superb, maybe even better than the handset. The 320 is also very comfortable to wear for longer periods of time... Read full review »

I first purchased this headset after reading decent reviews here and other places on line. I thought that for the price, I would receive a decent working Plantronics Headset.

Echos on the other end

byjoes_epinion Jul 22, 2006

Pros Comfortable, reasonable price, easy to use, decent sound quality.
Cons Callers hear their own voice as if in an echo chamber.
Recommended it? No

Purchased at Fry's Electronics. Unit was comfortable. Process of pairing with my Samsung A950 was easy enough. Reception sound quality was adequate, but not great... some static. However, callers on the other end would hear their own voice echoing back to them. When callers started telling me, "are... Read full review »

Lots of static, looses bond often

byhd883chopper Jun 20, 2006
4 Helpfuls 5 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros Light, easy to use, long battery life, low priced
Cons lots of static, looses bond with phone
Recommended it? No

This is my first blue tooth headset. I think its very comfortable and easy to use but the static is annoying. I get static most of the time using it but not always. If I hold the phone up to the earpiece, it goes away...but that defeats the purpose of hands free! It also looses its bond with my... Read full review »

Indecisive?? Check out the Plantronics 320

Pros Light, Comfortable, Great Range, Battery life, Not Gaudy.
Cons I said I'd never get one of these things !
Recommended it? Yes

When these things first came out, I told myself that they would have to be a lot smaller in order to consider buying one. At that time, and up until just recently... I thought those people walking around with them in their ears looked just plain ridiculous! Well, they still do, but there's a few... Read full review »

Fell apart on me literally... then died - 1 day after warranty expired

Pros Relatively Cheap - get what you pay for I guess
Cons Cheap, breaks easily, not very good reception.
Recommended it? No

Very cheaply made (like most of these devices). The thing that holds onto your ear broke first. I glued the pin back into the plastic. Secondly the ear piece would get stuck in my ear and would pop off the unit. I glued that down as well. Finally it fell from about 3 feet off the ground and has not... Read full review »

I purchased this while out of town on business to go with my new bluetooth phone 5 days ago. The price was $49.99 at Fry's Electronics in the Chicago area. The battery has a little charge from the factory so I had it configured and working in under 3 minutes.

I noticed a buzzing in my ear... Read full review »

Pros One button does everything, light, long battery life
Cons Piece that goes in ear takes some getting used to, can't pair with 2 devices

This is my second bluetooth headset. My first the removable earloops all broke and I decided to replace the entire headset after looking everywhere for the earloops. I must say that this headset so far is a huge improvement.

I decided on this headset because I didn't want to lose any of... Read full review »

Becoming Unwired Actually Works...for a while

Pros light weight; good battery life; quick connectability
Cons Silicon rubber loop holding device to ear disintegrated after 1 year

Anyone who has ever owned a cellphone knows that having an extended conversation on one, especially if you're walking around, is awkward. If you find yourself doing this regularly, you might end up looking like one of those characters on the old British TV series Monty Python's Flying Circus.
