The shaft is made from un-primed MDF or un-primed finger jointed pine. The paneled portion is 38" high and 8 5/8" wide at the base, plus the thickness of the shoe trim. It comes complete with a small 3" crown, banding trim, and all the trim necessary for a base. The parts are cut to size but not assembled to avoid breakage during shipping.
