Good machine if you do away with the pods.
My wife and my first experience with one of these was way bad. It would, with the two pod filter basket in place, release scalding water everywhere during the brewing. That was a few years ago. Now, we decided to try another one and see what results were yielded.

Funky Taste!

Excellent coffee if you make your own pods
I bought my Senseo recently. When I received it, I went right out and bought a package of the Douwe Egberts pods and brewed my first cup. Awful!! I tried using the pods in different ways, using two pods, brewing one cup or two cups. It always resulted in a terrible cup of coffee.
