customer support sucks!
I bought this unit 2 months ago... suddently, the remote stopped working ... i called the customer support and their reply was that there is no solution to this problem .. however, they suggested to call them back in COUPLE OF MONTHS to check if there will be an available remote that they can send... This is a keeper
Philips started being part of the HDMI DVD market in 2005 with the introduction of the DVP5900 player which was a failure in all. Great HDTV picture
The rumor that the new Philips DVP5960 has corrected the bugs that plagued the Philips DVP5900 upscaling DVD player appears to be true! Best Philips player for the price
If you already own the Philips DVP642 you will notice a dramatic upgrade in picture quality with this one. The DVP642 had a 10-bit 54 MHz video processor. This one has a 12-bit 108 MHz processor.
