Disappointment
Philips DOES NOT stand behind product! Bought brand new in May of 07, stopped working in Jan 08. Will not power on. Plug & unplug resets for a few minutes, then it crashes. Amazing buy
I purchased this TV for my son, who has a plethora of devices that could use it. We were floored. This thin, beautifully-designed LCD shows flawless, deep color images from a DVD player and games. Buy a late model!
Technically speaking this is a late model HDTV. I have 4 TV's in my home (that's probably 3 too many)and have been playing with the Analog to Digital Converter boxes. Those are indeed a challenge and decided that I would just start rotating out the tube TV's for HD's as I come across them.

DO NOT BUY THIS TV
I have this same model. It was only 10 months old when it started screeching, turning on and off by itself. I called and got the same "scripted" excuse saying the warranty expired after 90 days. It will break probably, but if it did...
Just fixed the "on and off and on and.....on..and on" problem in a 19MF337B/27 that I bought for $80 (too much) on Craigslist.
Replaced bulging capacitors C112, C117, and C118 on the logic board with the same value 1000uF from Radioshack.

Huge disappointment
I bought this TV on sale from Best Buy in December 2007 for $300. I had no problems at all until 4 months ago - all of a sudden there was a lot of static when first turning the TV on.
