The picture on this baby is bright and crisp. I did my research on every site imaginable and found that the new 8 series has got all the perks that came with the 7 but they also fixed one issue that was hassling alot of people with the 7s and thats the black flickering to gray while watching dvds... Plasma was delivered last week and I have to say it has the best picture of any HD set that I have ever seen. Unbelievable picture in HD...Reviewer above is incorrect..You CAN get HDMI input...You just have to buy the separate HDMI "blade" for this model...I did and the picture quality via HDMI (esp ESPN HD) is mindblowing....Just terrific...There isn't a better plasma on the market right now....Got mine...
