Pros Clean and Dirty indicators, Hepa Filter
Cons Bags and Belts are too hard to find when you need them. Dust blows out the back
Recommended it? No

About 6 months ago my old (ancient) Hoover vacuum cleaner gave out on me. It wasn't a belt or anything simple. It was the motor. I took it into our local vacuum supply/repair shop and the owner said he would check it out and give me an estimate on it before he did any repairs.

Well I... Read full review »

Pros Durable, powerful, strong
Cons There is no remote control, you actually have to push it.
Recommended it? Yes

I am a lazy cleaner so I take my vacuuming seriously. I want my vacuum to do as much of the work as possible. That was my main objective in purchasing my vacuum two years ago.

This Panasonic model has lived up to my expectations and is also light enough for me to drag all over the house... Read full review »

Panasonic VC-7395 Vac Cleans Well with One Problem

Pros Dirt Sensor, HEPA Filter, Cleans Very Well
Cons Belts/Bags/Filters at limited stores, Floor/Carpet switch problem causes belt to wear
Recommended it? Yes

I purchased the Panasonic vac in June '99 after comparing brands and models. We have used it plenty and have had no problems until recently. The mechanism that disengages the belt when you want to clean hard-floors slips and causes friction which breaks the belt. This has been a nuisance to replace... Read full review »

I read about this vacuum in Consumers Guide, where it was highly recommended. The first problems I noticed when trying it out in my apartment were the vacuum's instability, weight, noise level, shoddy fittings and attachments, and the short utility hose. I finally solved the hose problem scavenging... Read full review »

Pros Quiet and effective, useful dirt sensor.
Cons Poor design - plastic where there should be metal.
Recommended it? No

I purchased this vacuum cleaner on-line back in February, 2000, for $160. I have been very satisfied with this unit until recently, when I had to change the belt. It was then that I noticed that I had a bigger problem than a broken belt. The PLASTIC mounting that holds the belt-end of the beater... Read full review »

Pros Seems to do a very good job cleaning the carpets.
Cons When using the hose, the hose will pull the vacuum over on you.
Recommended it? Yes

I have owned this Panasonic vacuum for around 6 years. It has been a very good performer. The bags are a little hard to find. But it seems like I can find them on line when I need them. Haven't ran in to any repair issues. One of the other reviews mentioned dust being blown out the back. I think... Read full review »

I HATE THIS VACUUM

Pros looks good sitting still
Cons breaks constantly. A real pain to have to find a screwdriver to change the belt.
Recommended it? No

I can't tell you how aggravating this vacuum cleaner is. Every time it is used for more than 5 minutes, the belt breaks. This also smells up the house (lovely burned rubber). I am not sucking up small children or anything unusual, there is no reason to have to buy belts by the case. I'm going... Read full review »
