Pros speakerphone on handset, lots of features
Cons Poor range, poor voice quality, cannot program phone numbers
Recommended it? No

I've always been a big fan of Panasonic phones and never had any problems with them until this phone. I purchased this phone refurbished from the Panasonic store and now I realize why so many were refurbished. The problem is, I don't think Panasonic ever fixed the problem since my phone appears to... Great Features - Poor Voice Quality

Pros Great, and I mean great, list of features. Fairly secure 2.4GHz Digital.
Cons Poor, and I mean poor, voice quality both incoming and outgoing.
Recommended it? No

My very old 900Mhz Toshiba Cordless finally went out and I picked up this baby from a local store. The old Toshiba had nice voice quality and I figured these days those new 2.4GHz digital units would blow me away. One of the reasons I picked this unit is because I wanted a phone that would fit on... Read full review »

Pros Nice features
Cons Poor battery life
Recommended it? No

I spent about $89 for this phone and luckily paid another $10 for a 2 year money back warranty! I didn't replace it with a Panasonic!

After about 6 months of use, the battery life went lower and lower until it only lasts about 15 minutes (talk time). Not talking, battery only lasts about... Read full review »

Pros Fantastic battery life, simple controls and programming, good range. Nice styling
Cons sound quality could be better.....
Recommended it? Yes

This cordless has all the bells and whistles I need:

Caller ID (even for call waiting!)
Digital answering machine
Speakerphone
Wall-mountable
Long battery life

This replaces a Uniden cordless phone that I had to argue with Uniden to replace when it went bad... Read full review »

Most of the other reviewers have covered the issues with this phone quite well. My first Panasonic cordless phone was purchased in the 1980's (a KXT-3845) and believe it or not, it still works well (except for the Talk/Off button). Our second Panasonic phone, called the Sound Charger Plus, was... Read full review »

Pros Ease of use, clear instructions, battery life, male voice prompts.
Cons Ringer could be a bit louder.
Recommended it? Yes

After owning a Panasonic cordless phone (pre 900mgz) for almost 12 yrs, I decided to upgrade. My 12 year old Panasonic cordless is still running on the original battery, and if this new phone is half as good, I'll be happy. The instruction manual makes setting this phone up a piece of cake, and I'm... Read full review »

Panasonic KX-TG2247S is a fine choice.

Pros The price was great for all the fine features it has.
Cons Doesn't have a call screening feature on the handset.
Recommended it? Yes

The Panasonic KX-TG2247S phone/answering machine would be a fine choice for most people, in my opinion. You get real good value for the money. There are lots of nice bells and whistles to play around with. The system was very easy to set up. I liked the fact that you could store up to 50 numbers in... Read full review »

Cons takes a while to learn features and set them up

Our old phone finally gave out and we decided to be more space efficient by buying a phone and answering system in one. My husband picked this up at Best Buy for about $80. I never expected he would choose "plum" but it's actually a really pretty color.

I had it setup and working the... Read full review »

Nice features - Bad design

byhierax Dec 10, 2002

Pros Nice feature list - Caller ID , Dig. Answering machine, 2.4G
Cons It doesn't work - faulty battery compartment design
Recommended it? No

This phone could have been a great product had the design held up and you could take advantage of all the features it has.

Unfortunately, the battery will not stay charged no matter how long it's left in the cradle. Even after charging for 2 days straight, after 10 minutes of talk time... Read full review »

My wife bought me this phone as a birthday gift. We own many Panasonic products (TV, DVD player, etc.) We have generally been very happy with their products, however, we encountered many problems with our new (very expensive) phone.

Problems with this phone:
