Pros Great features, not too bulky in size. Extremely clear graphics and easy to use.
Cons This product has no cons or features that I wish to complain about right now.
Recommended it? Yes

Using this product when brand new was like a natural occurrence in life,it is so user friendly! The technology is easy to use, and even better the manuals are easy to read! Great picture and great sound! 4 stars out of five from me! Read full review »

Pros XP and SP recording rivals store bought DVD quality.
Cons Editing capability could be improved.Remote control could be designed better.
Recommended it? No

I bought this unit, and it lasted 1 month before the cooling fan went out. After the store manager and I opened 3 other NEW identical units , we found all of them had a defective cooling fan. Pros Easier to find certain scenes, compared to using video tape.
Cons Picture quality and editing features not up to expectations.
Recommended it? No

I thought I'd get something to replace my old s-vhs machine, so I could enjoy the same or better picture quality, plus more flexible editing. I paid $800 Canadian, which is about $575 US.

Pros Reasonable price. Progressive scan. VCRplus+
Cons Puzzling remote control. DVD-R discs don't play in my older DVD player.
Recommended it? Yes

I've been planning on transferring some programs from my TiVo to DVDs, and permanentizing our wedding from the VCR tape my brother-in-law recorded, as well as some other VCR tapes I've accumulated.

If you are planning on sharing your recorded DVD disc's with others, this isn't your toy. Playback can only be on a similar DMR unit. This is the biggest downside I've found with this unit.
