Didn't meet expectations

Can NOT receive HD & Digital signals on antenna.

An OK Performer but with problems
The Panasonic DMR EH-50 is a generally capable machine for recording programs off the air and archiving to DVD R. It supports many but not all R/RW formats, plus DVD-RAM, which is mostly useless and is supported by very few other set top units or computers.

A Slow Painful Death
My Painasonic DMR-E50 only lasted a little over a year. First it became autistic and finally slipped into a coma. I do not expect a recovery. I recorded about 200 discs with it. It is unlikely I will be buying any more Panasonic products. Read full review »
Buy it.
I can't add much more than Toolmandbg wrote above. I've only had mine a week and it has taken me that long to figure out all the bells and whistles (well nearly all of them) as he rightly states the manual is pathetic. Good VCR Replacement
My good old VCR was dieing a slow death. You can't fine a good VCR for sale anymore, you have to go with a DVD recorder. There are many out on the market and their prices are going down fast, but if you spend a little more You can get a great machine.

Setup not so friendly
Received mine and set it up yesterday. Still trying to figure out how to get the setup menu to display.
