Pros Wireless Internet, standard palm features
Cons must be a member of palm.net, limited coverage area
Recommended it? Yes

The Palm VII is a fantastic organzier for people who are constantly on the go. It has the standard datebook, Graffiti pad, To-Do list and other features. With the Hot-Sync connection, you can hook it up to your computer and back up all your files. You even dowload games to play. But the best new... Read full review »

byjcare Dec 22, 1999
4 Helpfuls 5 Helpfuls Was this review helpful? Comment
Pros Don't rely on travel agents
Cons Don't rely exclusively on the network being available
Recommended it? Yes

The travel/business features of the Palm are actually what I use most. Otherwise my travel office tends to route me on the first flight they find, regardless of carrier and connections.

The two applications which help with travel planning are OAG and Travelocity. OAG is literally an... Read full review »

Palm VIIx Review

After several years of hard use, I finally decided to replace my Palm III. I knew that I wanted another Palm OS machine but the number of available choices was daunting. There were several interesting models available from Handspring, new machines from Handera and Sony... Read full review »

Pros Easy to use
Cons Drains batteries fast, expensive, buggy OS, sketchy coverage, no IR sync
Recommended it? No

I needed an electronic organizer. I needed mobile e-mail. I thought the Palm VII was the answer. I was wrong.

My biggest complaint is battery use. I find that if I use the wireless options my batteries drain very fast. Usually I can go two weeks on batteries if I don't use the antenna... Read full review »

Pros good if you need instantaneous web clipping
Cons $450 price tag, bulky, only 2MB memory, expensive service
Recommended it? Yes

When the Palm VII debuted in the summer, everyone was a buzz about its wireless connectivity feature. However, the price is a little high, seeing as this is the only overriding feature.
The Palm VII has a meager 2MB memory, which is inconvenient for the typical business person. Most databases... Read full review »

I have read a few epinions of people that socked out a lot of money for a Palm VII. They got it home and thought they could sit on the couch of commode and surf the web. It states clear as day on the box "web clippings."

Even a non techie should know what a web clipping should be. It is... Read full review »

Even though I am considered a 'techie,' I have always carried a Day-Timer and was somewhat reluctant to give it up. A few months ago, we broke down and bought Palm VII's. To my pleasant surprise, I have become completely reliant on this little gem. It is lighter and smaller then a Day-Timer type... Read full review »
