Palm VII -- in this instance, "7" is not a lucky number
Although Palm VII is a popular product, I've found it to not be as compelling as the other palm product I own, Casio's Cassiopeia E-105. At first blush, I was happy with Palm VII's capabilities in terms of information management and the elegant hardware design. I got a couple of months of good use... Read full review »
Good, but not supported
The Palm VII is the palm product that was recently replaced by the palm i705 Handheld. The palm VII is a completely wireless palmtop that allows you access the latest news, sports scores, stocks, whatever, from almost anyware. Sounds great right? It did to me too, until I got the palm and realized... Read full review »
Palm VII is very useful when I'm mobile
I had considered acquiring a PDA for some time, but found it difficult to justify the expenditure. However, when I tried the Palm VII the first time, with the built-in wireless web access, that was enough for me. I don't travel extensively, only about 10 trips a year, but using a laptop is a little... Read full review »
Palm VII isn't everything, but it's close.
I'll admit it, I'm a gadget junkie, so when I got a new job, I asked for a Palm VII as part of my compensation package. I've been online for over 10 years, and I can still remember the frantic longing for my computer, the net and the virtual community I mentored in, when I had to leave them behind... Great if your Company pays for it!
The Palm VII is a neat piece of technology, unfortunately, it's pretty expensive. I definitely would not own one if my company didn't pay for the Palm VII itself and the 45 bucks a month for web access.
Internet Access
I have never had a problem connecting to the palm.net. I have used...

Palm VII - generally good...
After a year of using this thing, I still have mixed feelings. But overall, I'd say they're positive.
GOOD things? As an already experienced Palm user, I was mainly interested in the wireless capabilities. And as the coverage maps show, my Palm works pretty much everywhere. Except in my...

I Wouldn't Recommend It
First of all, the Palm VII is very expensive (compared to other handhelds) this Palm will cost you $499. At this type of price you should be able to buy a color handheld, but guess what, the Palm VII is only gray scale. It has 2mb of memory, which is 6mb less than other lower cost handhelds. This... great gadget
I had heard mixed reviews about the palm VII, but I have had mine for a week now and I think it is great. It is incredibly simple to use. After taking it out of the box and allowing the triple-AAA batteries (included) to charge the modem, the palm VII takes you through a set up with several options... Read full review »
Palm VII is THEE greatest gadget I have ever owned!!
This is the greatest electronic equipment that i have ever owned barnone. I highly recommend any one that can afford to buy this instrument to do so. There are many uses I have found, like going to a Los Angeles Dodgers game and while im watching them, i just flip up my antenna on my palm, and... Read full review »
Palm vii in Chicago
There's not much to say about the Palm vii that other reviewers have not written. As you know the Palm vii has a built in modem to access web-clippings from Palm's servers. Overall the coverage has been good, as I have used in Downtown Chicago without any problems. The other features are the same... Read full review »
