Tungsten E, just remember they're disposable!
I needed a new PDA, and since I loved my old Palm III, I decided I would go with Palm (PalmOne) again. I bought the Tungsten E with the MP3 kit and hard "protective" case, and immediately loved it. The MP3 kit was way overpriced for what you got ($100 for a 64MB SD card, headphones and a USB... Read full review »
Good Features, Bad Quality, Shameful Warranty
In comparing this device to competitors I thought this was a no-lose situation. Palm name, $199, what a bargain. Well, I didn't really even look at the warranty.
After about a week of it sitting without use, I tried to turn it on. It just wouldn't. Soft reset, Hard reset, battery charger,...

DANGER! Buyer Beware!
I've owned my Tungsten E for less than a year, and I am very displeased with it's performance for a variety of reasons, but most of all because of its defective battery system. The unit always had a problem holding a charge for more than a day or so, but now, it literally will not work at all after... Read full review »
Great Mid-Level Palm for Tech-savvy that doesn't want/need to shell out a ton of $$
I received this as a gift when I put "new PDA with Palm OS" on my birthday wishlist; I had been using my husbands old Palm III for several years.
I absolutely LOVE the Documents To Go feature! Love the expansion slot and available options/programs for sale to utilize this.

Ok, but wish it were better.
I'm essentially a first time Palm user. I wanted two things from a handheld. One, that it had good organizing tools, mainly contacts and so forth. Two, that I could use my Excel spreadsheets in the field with the handheld. I really didn't care about "wi-fi," bluetooth, etc.
Well, I guess...

Tungsten E. Great Alternative to T/C Models.
Just picked up a Tungsten E!
Here are my thoughts for people that are sitting on the fence or having trouble deciding which model to get:
The screen is gorgeous. As good as any PDA. Everything is clear, and crisp. PDA's sure have come a long way.
The stylus is actually...

Software is good, hardware is flaky
Overall good, except the device itself is pretty cheap. Problems are sound not working unless you reboot. Also, had 2 of these and the power button stopped working. I couldn't power it on or off anymore. It is a defect that Palm won't admit. Be careful of that because after the 90 day warranty,... Read full review »
Tungsten E the worst yet....
I purchased a palm Tungsten E in December. I have had nothing put problems. Today I called the company and was told that the product only has a 90 day Warranty on the screen and digitizer. After a heated conversation with customer relations I was left with a non working product that I spent hard... Read full review »
Fair share of quality problems
I actually bought mine off ebay. Therefore, I didn't get a warranty of any sort! It was slightly used, but fully operational. PalmOne was not very helpful when I asked them if I could buy the software CD off of them since the software CD wasn't included with my purchase.
The first problem...

efficient, affordable organization
This little Palm came into my possession when I figured out leaving 15 crumpled sheets of paper on my desk, never the one I need, was not the way to go about living. It attracted my attention because of the color screen, the stylish 'tungsten' silver finish, and most of all the price.
So...
