Pros 8Meg Memory Allows For All the 3rd Party Software I Could Possibly Want
Cons Stylus is the same lump of plastic that came with the original Palm Pilots.
Recommended it? Yes

I have owned and used (every day) a Palm III for about two years and the 2 Megs of memory just wasn't hacking it anymore. Palm was offering a $50 rebate on the Palm IIIxe during the holidays, so I took advantage of the lower price.

First of all, I can see by the ratings of those who've... Read full review »

Pros Easy to use, stylish.
Cons Hard to turn the annoying noises off
Recommended it? Yes

I recently was given the Palm IIIxe for the holidays. Without even thinking that I needed one, I am now extremely glad that I have this nifty contraption, and would recommend it to anyone. It was $250, but came with a $50 rebate so it wasn't terribly expensive at all. The Palm IIIxe is extremely... Read full review »

I'll admit that I bought my Palm because of a love for new gadgets, with little thought of whether the thing would actually be useful and practical. Let me say that it was $250 of the best dollars I have ever spent. My Palm has found its niche in my everyday life!

Let me start out by saying that I have just purchased a Palm IIIxe and I couldn't be happier. A month ago I decided that I would treat myself to something for the holidays and was very interested in these new PDAs that hit the market. I am a computer nerd and I needed this new handheld-computer... Read full review »

I got the Palm IIIxe for $206 (after tax) from Amazon.com (unfortunately the deal ended otherwise I would have let you know the code - check out dealcatcher.com to see if anyone else is giving a sale like this). I have sent off a $50 mail in rebate, to the final cost of my palm III will be under... Read full review »

Pros Reasonable price, super convienent
Cons Easily misplaced, entering info time consuming

Being a college student I find this gizmo to be extremely useful and necessary. I can enter in the dates and times of all of my exams and can store in important numbers. The palm goes wherever I do. It is more useful than carrying a separate organizer/phone book/memo pad/calculator around campus. I... Read full review »

I've had my Palm IIIxe for about four months, and I must whole-heartedly say this is one of best PDAs on the market, dollar for dollar. Is it color? Well, no. Is it thin and lightweight like the Palm V series? No, not that either. But what it the Palm IIIxe is would be the best value of any PDA... Read full review »

PalmOne IIIxe Personal Handheld Organizer

The Palm IIIxe handheld builds on earlier Palm III models by offering more memory and more options. Its 8 MB of RAM (four times the memory of the popular Palm IIIe) and 2 MB of flash ROM keep track of all your appointments, memos, to-do items, expense items, and e-mail, plus you can add thousands of third-party applications. Although the Palm IIIe and IIIx models have ample memory for many users, the Palm IIIxe better supports users who rely upon their organizer for data-heavy operations. The Palm IIIxe is more powerful than its predecessors, but it retains all of the Palm IIIx's and IIIe's convenience features. It measures a mere 4.7 by 3.2 by 0.7 inches and weighs 6 ounces. Backing up and exchanging information with desktop PCs and popular PIMs requires just a touch of a button on the included HotSync cradle. The infrared port allows you to instantly beam business card information, phone lists, data, and applications to other infrared- equipped devices. It also features a sharp backlit LCD screen, legible in both dim and bright light. The contents of the Palm IIIxe box include the Palm IIIxe handheld, a CD-ROM with an extensive assortment of Palm Desktop software applications, two AAA batteries, a DB-25 adapter, a HotSync cradle, a manual, and a Getting Started quick guide. You may further customize your Palm IIIxe organizer with third-party add-on peripherals such as modems or voice recorders. This device runs for approximately two months on just two AAA batteries and comes with a one-year manufacturer's warranty.
