I had a primitive B/W Sony Clie as my first PDA. It was a disaster. Thought seriously about going back to a paper datebook. Gave the Z71 a try, and I'll never, ever go back to paper. I've given up on Palm
The Zire 71 is my third Palm product (fourth if you count the one I purchased in a panic when my Zire 71 went down once before.) I continued to purchase Palm products to ensure the transfer of data . . . but it's a trade off I'll make no longer.

Beware of the "slider"!
I received my Palm Zire 71 for Christmas 2003, and I love it! When my beloved PDA wears out someday, I will gladly buy another Palm product.
