Could have, would have, didn't.
Eidos comes forward with a game highly reminiscent of Tomb Raider and Soul Reaver, except they put you in a futuristic world and throw in some RPG for the casual gamer. Omicron is a good example of a game that could have easily been incredible, but somehow a complete dumbutt at Eidos decided to use... Read full review »
Original idea....
The objective of this game is to follow the story of all the people you talk to. Plus, the sneak, a computer terminal attached to Kayl's arm, can call the sliders (transporters) and it is also the menu screen, sort of like an RPG.
GRAPHICS: The graphics in this game are horribly...

David Bowie's detailed and fascinating cyber world.
One of the main qualities of a computer game is the ability to transport you from your everyday world into a new one which is only limited by a human's imagination. For this world to be believable you have to have as much freedom as possible to eat, sleep etc etc wherever and whenever you want.

extremely rushed pc port
This game really disappointed me; it looked cool, but ended up being a big waste of my 50 dollars. First of all when it starts out, the person who talks to you says for you to use your COMPUTER to help him, not your dreamcast, your COMPUTER! That shows how little time was spent in the port of this... Read full review »
Why this game has gotten mixed reviews
Okay, so Omikron got mixed reviews. I mean, before I picked up this game I went around to as many places as I could (not just Gamepro, but also Antaganist on AOL, Cheat Central, and a few others)... and the results were so mixed I had to see what the deal was.
Now, after playing it, I see why...

Omikron didn't see us coming... but it saw us leaving.
This game had the potential to be a good game. Really, it did -- even though it was a port, it had several good things going for it. The story (cyberpunk) is something rarely seen anymore, and honestly not really seen at all on Dreamcast. The music came from actual famous people like David Bowie... Read full review »
Too much, in too little
When i first saw this game at my best buys ( when it was in its pc version), i was interested, but never ended up buying it. When it finally came to dreamcast, i thought to myself that it would be a good time to try it out. Well, even though the game is ok, and a fun to play in parts, it falls... Read full review »
Omikron the Nomad Soul
Let me start by saying this game really isn't bad. It IS fun to play and it is rather hard to combine 3 different genres into one game.
THE GAME:
this game tries hard to make you believe that this parallel universe exists. The game starts with Kay'l opening a warphole and telling you what...

soul jumping
Yes we have all been there with this game. But besides
the unusual storyline the game is actually very good.
The thing that makes this game so good is the freedom
to go anywhere in the city of omikron. And with demons
taking over bodys whats not to like. One the key points
of...
