Better than Juiceman by Far

byLSMillers Jan 20, 2003

Pros More powerful motor, extracts more juice, bigger filter, easier to clean, quieter
Cons More expensive, more parts, bigger, smaller feed chute
Recommended it? Yes

We recently upgraded from our trusty Juiceman II to this Omega juicer, and we've been delighted by the switch. We've used Juiceman juicers for at least seven years, and were attracted to them via the Jay Kordich TV infomercials. (We've written a review on Juiceman as well).

Pros Juices about anything. Easy to use, clean-up, and disassemble. Produces a good amount of...
Cons Not the greatest at pulp ejection. A little pricey.
Recommended it? Yes

When I first considered buying a juicer I researched many different types and brands before I settled on the Omega 4000. My household now juices every day, sometimes more than once a day. We have juiced a wide variety of things with our Omega 4000 including: carrots, apples, pineapples, oranges,... Read full review »

Pros This product is the best! Easy to clean, makes lots of juice!
Cons Nothing!
Recommended it? Yes

I bought my Omega 4000 juicer for Christmas 2002. It is the absolute best product I have had for years!
Yes, I did the Internet search (at length!) and looked in the stores to compare the differences. There is no comparison! This juicer is, without a doubt, the best one for the money. Yes, I... Read full review »

Great juice from a convenient, durable product

Pros good quality juice, high yield, quiet operation
Cons costs a little more than the competition
Recommended it? Yes

The Omega 4000 is an intermediate level juicer, fitting between several products in the $100 range (like the Braun MP-80) and the industrial strength Norwalk at well over $1000. It is a little more expensive than the popular Juiceman II which is well-liked by the epinions community (but which I... Read full review »

Pros Strong, well build, fairly efficient.
Cons No safety interlock switch.
Recommended it? Yes

I've Tried several Juicers and each of them has been a disappointment in one way or another. In January, I bought the Omega 4000 from Costco on-line and so far, this juicer does just about everything I expect of it.

The Omega 4000 is made in the USA, very well build and has a 10 years... Read full review »

Omega 8001

Pros Omega 8001 - Versatility, Price, Use
Cons Omega 8001 - nothing really
Recommended it? Yes

The first review was well spoken. I agonized over whether to get the Omega 8001 or the Green Life. My decision was made easier by talking to numerous juicer sellers that mostly agreed the Omega 8001 is a little easier to clean and reassemble and that the Green Life does not juice soft fruits well... Pros NONE!!!
Cons Complete junk! 15 year warranty means nothing if you don't buy it directly from...

Buyer BEWARE! I ordered a Omega 4000 juicer as a gift for my father a while back and the thing is absolute junk! Not only is there more juice coming out of the pulp than what is actually coming out of the spout but the pulp ejector is constantly getting clogged. I notified LivingRight (Company I... Best Juice I've Tasted, Good for Fruits and Vegetables

bypurplebird7 Jan 15, 2004

Pros Juices both fruits and vegetables. Gets all the juice out. Juice is pulp-free. Continuous...
Cons Noisy. Need to wear headphones. Has plastic parts that may break.
Recommended it? Yes

You've never tasted real juice until you've juiced fresh fruits and vegetables. The Omega 4000 makes delicious juice: rich taste, no pulp. Cleanup is easy. Buy an ear-protector headset and you will have a pleasant experience. I considered buying a masticating or auger juicer because of low RPMs but... Read full review »

Had it for two years - love it! :)

Pros Powerful, high yields, not terribly expensive
Cons Cleaning is a pain, but that's the same with any juicer
Recommended it? Yes

My dad got us into "juicing" with his carrot/apple juice that he made. I gave up on the horrible Hamilton Beach type juicers you can buy on the shelf at Walmart, and went to work on some research. After a lot of reading, I settled on an Omega 4000 and it was worth every penny. I absolutely love it... Read full review »

Outstanding, Superior to Jack LaLanne

bynjgreen Sep 26, 2007

Pros Excellent design, fine materials that should endure long service, easy clean-up,...
Cons None
Recommended it? Yes

We just received our Omega 4000 Juicer. It's built with superior materials (stainless steel, solidly built screen, and non-brittle plastic; the spindle in our Jack LaLanne began crumbling several months ago and gradually disintegrated leaving no thread to hold the grater in place.) I think the... Read full review »
