Decent camera for the $$
The camera is reasonably priced. Image quality is good, the battery is durable (long life) and the zoom is good. It does lack image stabilization.

Very Disappointing
Like someone else wrote, I too thought this camera would be comparable to the C-750UZ. Sadly, it doesn't come close. Best digital I've ever owned.
Over the last four years, we have owned four digital cameras, some pricey - some not. The Olympus SP 500 is, by far, the very best digital camera we have ever owned.

great camera. highly...don't need a stablizer if your hands a steady enough.... the grip makes it really good to hold. 10 times zoom great for taking outdoor shots.....quite user friendly if u take the time to go thru the menus..
