Having a Nintendo Wii for a couple of years now, we've gone through our fair share of batteries. When I saw the low battery indicator once again recently after my son had been playing a while, I decided it was time to do something else. After a bit of research, I came across this Nyko Charge... Pros Looks nice
Cons Tough to get charger to charge
Recommended it? No

When I first purchased my Wii last year I almost immediately also purchased the Nyko Wii Charge Station.  Unlike some of the other video game systems, such as the Playstation 3, the controllers for the Wii run on alkaline batteries.  I was concerned that over time the price of replacing... This is hands down the best wiimote charging dock out there. I've tried several different chargers and none measure up to this one. It is small, sleek, and the battery lasts for hours on end. Never again will you need to throw away money on batteries. A must have for any wii owner. Read full review »

It is nice to have a game system that has a wireless control system... No interruptions from people or animals tripping over cords; being able to sit across a big living room without a cord extender; no tangled cords! Unless you want to spend a fortune on AA batteries you really should get a... Read full review »

Pros Save $$$, Ease of Use
Cons Bright Charging Light (very minor problem)
Recommended it? Yes

I, like most Wii owners, got tired of spending money on huge packs of AA batteries to play my games. I knew there were several options for saving this money with regular rechargeable AAs, charging stations that plug into the Wii via USB and this type, which is a charging station that plugs into the... Pros Stylish and cute, easy to use.
Cons Not as cheap as just getting ugly ol' rechargeables.
Recommended it? Yes

When I bought my Wii, I kept hearing about what greedy battery-gobbling monsters the remote controllers are, and in fact I had already seen my long-suffering Wii-owning friends wearily breaking out Costco-sized tubs of batteries and changing the AA batteries in their remotes again and again. So I... Read full review »

I thought this would be a great idea so the kids could easily charge their wii remotes without much intervention from me. We've been through a few nyko's now and still haven't found 2 batteries that will consistently work. First problem was the wii remote would not seat properly in the charge... Read full review »

Pros Not bad if you use your 'mote without the protective gel cover.
Cons If the protective gel cover is important to you, don't bother with this setup.
Recommended it? No

The Nyko Charge Station for the Nintendo Wiimote is a good idea that has not been fully thought out and engineered. The basic concept of a recharger station for charging/storing a Wiimote is great, but the engineering has not kept up with Nintendo's advances. Nintendo's new, shock absorbing gel... The Wii is kept in the adult section of the house which is a more visible area. We purchased the charging station for our entertainment center in hopes that this product would help the area stay neat and tidy.

The Nyko Charge Station was the first thing I bought for my Wii -- I figured it would pay for itself in the long run with all the money it'd save in batteries. And I have to say that it was a good investment.

The Wiimotes take two Double A batteries (one set is included with the... Read full review »

Pros Save a lot of money on batteries. Long-lasting battery power.
Cons None

I recently purchased a Nintendo Wii game system. Due to the fact that the remote controls (otherwise known as Wiimotes) are battery-powered, I also decided that it would be a good idea to purchase the Nyko Charge Station for the Nintendo Wii. I picked it up for around $30 at a local retailer.
