Pros comfortable wet electric shave with lotion
Cons you can get a comfortable shave or a relatively close one but not both
Recommended it? Yes

This is the third wet electric razor I've owned. I got pretty good use for several years from a Panasonic Linear 8067 but had to reluctantly let it go when the blades become dull and replacement blades were not available.

I had seen some reviews here for the newer Norelco wet models and... Read full review »

Pros Very close, soothing shave. 60 day Money Back guarantee, 2 year warranty.
Cons High price. Large battery charger. No built-in trimmer. Cheap plastic look.
Recommended it? Yes

I've owned only five razors in my shaving lifetime, four of which have been Norelcos. The last one, purchased in 1988. While it still works and gives a close shave, the batteries will hold a charge only for a few minutes. I decided the time had come to say good-bye to my old friend. In shopping for... The Norelco Coolshave 7775X didn't do well for me

Pros Battery life, easy to clean.
Cons Didn't cut beard all that well in certain areas. Expensive lotion, charger, lotion...

My father graced with with a barb wire beard. I tried a Braun foil shaver many years ago and it didn't work well at all. I figured maybe electric shavers have made enough advancement to deal with my beard since the Braun.

After looking at products and reviews at the stores and on the... Read full review »

Pros Improved design, versatile, comfortable, fast-charging, no burns nicks or cuts.
Cons Steep price, shop for bargains; lotion packets can be expensive so shop online.
Recommended it? Yes

A bad ski injury two years ago cost me the use of my right hand for the better part of a year, making many tasks including shaving with a straight razor impossible. I bought Norelco's top lotion-dispensing model, then called the "Advantage" line, expecting to go back to manual shaving as soon as my... Read full review »

Pros Superb shaving experience. Cuts far closer than a regular razor and cream.
Cons Cost of lotion packets.
Recommended it? Yes

I had been using shaving cream and traditional razor since my early teens. That method saw me in the dermatologist's office repeatedly due to skin irritation, ingrown hairs, and skin infections. I had even tried to buy an old Braun electric shaver to use DRY in place of all of this. That made it... Read full review »

Pros Very close shaves, charge last a long time, lotion makes it glide over your skin.
Cons Can get mildew on it if you leave it in the shower all the time
Recommended it? Yes

I've used electric razors since 1973, this is the best one I've ever used. I have had this one about a year. I have used dry razors with the powder sticks and this is much better! Read full review »

Pros close shave, good battery life, quiet, easy to clean
Cons clunky recharger

thought I would return the favor since I used epinions to help choose this razor for me.
I have used Braun foil shavers for the last 10 years, as my comparison point.
Loved this razor. Very close shave (...no, not as close as a razor), close than the Braun, though.
Thought the lotion... Read full review »

Pros I have none since I did not use the razor.
Cons NiCad batteries have memory so you can,t keep them topped off.
Recommended it? No

I bought this razor this morning. I thought I was buying a quality high end product. I was appalled to find that the razor uses NICAD batteries and can not be used with the cord when the batteries are discharged or fail to charge. I have owned only Norelco razors for 30 years and this is the first... Read full review »

Norelco Cool Skin not so "cool"

bycyberdecker Oct 20, 2004

Pros Looks good and is durable. Gel/Lotion dispenser is convenient. Clipper attachment is nice.
Cons Does NOT leave a close shave. Gel/lotion packets are expensive. Manual shaving is faster.
Recommended it? No

I have used a shaving razor all my life and decided to try an electric razor after hearing so many good things about them. The Norelco Cool Skin (7775) is one of Norelco's top of the line electric razor boasting their closest shave and a comfortable one with their gel/lotion release system.

Pros Shaving in the shower, Close Shave, Works Great
Cons The shaving gel/lotion packets are hard to find in the stores here.
Recommended it? Yes

This is the 3rd Norelco Shaver I have owned now. All of them are the top of the line at the time. This one is great, primarily because it can be used in the shower, and it gives a really close shave. I've always had trouble shaving under my chin and down the front of my neck without getting my skin... Read full review »
