Pros stylus controls, great production value, awesome graphics, uses DS features!
Cons short adventure, ocean tasks are tedious, too cutesy for my tastes
Recommended it? Yes

Zelda: Phantom Hourglass sets out to reinvent once again, the Zelda series. Combining the chibi art style from Zelda:Wind Waker with new stylus controls, PH represents a new foray into gaming that is novel and questionably enjoyable. So far with welcome reception from fans- Zelda: PH seems like a... Read full review »

Zelda: Phantom Hourglass - What a Sequel Should Be

bynoangels Feb 14, 2008

Pros Innovative game play, improved upon some frustrating elements of the Wind Waker
Cons a little short, one of the easier Zelda games
Recommended it? Yes

I have been a Zelda fan for as long as the series has been in existence. I am also in the minority who didn't mind that cartoon-ish style of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. I was thrilled to find out a sequel was going to be released on the Nintendo DS. The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass... Read full review »

Pros good uses of the DS touch screen, nice graphics
Cons repeating temple, stylus controls can cramp hand.
Recommended it? Yes

I got Legend of Zelda Phantom Hourglass several months ago and I have gone through it twice, and played a few online games with it. Zelda Phantom Hourglass has it’s charms but there are problems with the game, in fact it’s my least favorite Zelda game, beating Zelda 2. But like Zelda 2 it doesn’t... Read full review »

Pros Excellent use of the touch screen!
Cons The game is WAY TOO SHORT, too easy, dissapoints as a Legend of Zelda game
Recommended it? No

When I read that The Legend of Zelda: Phantom hourglass
was the best DS game of all time {Nintendo Power} I was excited, but now after I've played it I have one question NP WERE YOU HIGH?!? OK, by now you may have guessed that The Legend of Zelda: Phantom hourglass is not the best ds game of... Read full review »

Pros Delivers the Zelda formula without feeling formulaic. Vast technical improvement over...
Cons Throwaway story, few "wow"-level innovations.
Recommended it? Yes

Despite early concerns over the cartoonish visual style, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker was pretty much a sure thing. Everyone's favorite green-tunic-wearing hero... with pirates? That stuff practically programs itself. The Legend of Zelda: The Phantom Hourglass borrows heavily from that... Read full review »

Storyline: Zelda fanboys rejoice, critics say "it's OK"
___Traditional Zelda fare. It continues off of Wind Waker, and is ultimately pretty much a 'side quest' to a main storyline. I won't say how or why, that's for the gamer to figure out. Because of this, or perhaps simply the smallish size... Read full review »

Three Cheers for Zelda

Pros You get to try a new way for controlling your character.
Cons The graphics could use some help.
Recommended it? Yes

The game Zelda and the Phantom Hourglass is a great addition to the Zelda collection. I will admit the graphics like Windwaker were childish and blocky. But the story was engaging and fun.  It fallows windwaker and tells of our hero Link finding himself in another predicament. Here goes Tetra (aka... Read full review »

Pros Great music, graphics, and creative stylus controls.
Cons Too short, a little too easy, and a dungeon that was revisited repeatedly.
Recommended it? Yes

Those old timers in the video game world might be a little disappointed by The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass. Despite the great graphics, wonderful stylus controls, catchy music, and a cast of new characters, the game surprised me with its ease.

It was really fun the way they made... Read full review »

Another amazing Zelda game

Pros replay value, animation style, gameplay
Cons some timed dungeons
Recommended it? Yes

Phantom Hourglass lives up to its Legend of Zelda status - with the classic Zelda adventure style, awesome dungeon bosses, and tons of side quests and mini games to keep you playing long after you've beaten it. To beat this game 100%, it might take a whole week or two longer.

As a sequel... Read full review »

Cons Saving System, Dungeons, Boat Riding,

Legend of Zelda games have a very long history. I started off playing A Link to the Past, but don't have too much Zelda experience.

So when I got this game, I was expecting something very similar.

It was similar, but also very different. The game is very addicting, and the... Read full review »
