Incredible New Console!
The Game Boy...what does this make me think of when I think of Game Boy?? I think of the first hand held system ever. I think of the terrible graphics, and all the stupid games..but yet the few good games that made the hand held worth buying. I remember not being able to play in the dark, or... Read full review »
Gameboy Advance, crack shmack.
The giggity-Gameboy Advance, I swear to you that I?ve been waiting for this thing to come out ever since the Nintendo 64 came out. Why, you ask? I?ll tell you why. Because after playing the first few games for N64 (Mario, Bond, Donkey Kong Racing), and after looking at the upcoming games in... Read full review »
Advanced gameplay or fancy dud?
Ok, so I just had to snag me a GBA after my last epinion ranting about its features and potential. I have finally bitten Nintendo's Gameboy hook, but did they reel me in? Hmmm... tough call...
It's got the looks...
One thing is for sure, the GBA is well designed. It's very light...

Epinions advanced
To get better acquainted with the GBA, one must go back the past and see how the GBA was brought up and the changes it has gone through, so before I get to even comment on Nintendo?s latest handheld system, lets first see on how it all began?
Game Boy:
Invented by Gumpei Yokoi in...

Back to Basics - While Advancing! (Nintendo W/O)
Way back in the late 1980's, Nintendo had a firm stranglehold on the home console market. Sure, they had some competition from a few rather voracious termites, but when you're a redwood tree in prime condition, those termites are likely to die off from eating too much long before you do. Well, one... Read full review »
Advancing ever forward?
If video game systems had life stories, the one for the Nintendo Game Boy would be "The Little System That Could." Inferior to every other portable out there, it has managed to sit at number one for arond a decade in the portable market. Even the Game By color only slightly tinkers with the basic... Made obsolete by the newer consoles with backlights
Before I got the Game Boy Advance, the only gaming system I had was the Game Boy Pocket. When the GBA came out, I decided it was time to upgrade. I went over to the closest Wal-Mart Store and picked one up for $99 when it first came out. I'm sure it cost way less now that a GBA SP and a DS have... Read full review »
With GBA, I can finnaly stop mourning over Neo Geo Pocket
Game Boy Advance is truly a landmark in the video game industry and it is a good looking and playing portable system. GBA is pretty much a portable Super Nintendo due to the fact that it is 32 bits. Also the screen of GBA is 50% wider then the one seen on Game Boy Color, which makes a real... Read full review »
The skinny on my new GameBoy Advance
I just got the new Game Boy Advance today at Circuit City for a cool $90. A large chunk of change for me, but still a reasonable price for what it is. I am very impressed in so many ways with the Game Boy Advance, but I have one complaint that really keeps me from enjoying the product and giving it... Read full review »
I actually bought this, so read my review
I bought a Game Boy Advance for $89.00 recently. The GBA has many improvements over previous Game Boys. While new Game Boy models have come out over the years (pocket, Color, etc.) they all used the same processor and specifications. GBA is very different however. It is the first handheld with a... Game Boy Advance - Limited Edition Platinum
This is a special limited-edition, platinum-colored Game Boy Advance console. When you first pick up the Game Boy Advance system, you'll be amazed at how little it weighs. At fewer than 5 ounces and a little larger than a deck of playing cards, the system easily fits into a shirt pocket without any sag. The GBA's wider shape fits better into a wider range of hands. The former design too often pushed the left and right thumb knuckles together during gameplay. The new layout is comfortable for all ages, and the center screen orientation makes it easy to see. Game Boy Color owners will find the GBA's larger screen somewhat darker than they're used to, but that's because the screen is outfitted with antiglare technology. Like the old Game Boy Color, the color LCD is not backlit, so you need pretty good light to play by. Unlike that system, though, you won't be craning your neck and tilting the unit to see around the hot-spot reflection of the light bulb in your screen. But you'll also notice the graphics. Sporting what's basically a redesigned SNES technology, you'll see things on the GBA that you see on big consoles, such as scaling (making objects larger or smaller) and rotation effects-- technological advances that will affect the look of everything from crossing a finish line to throwing a touchdown pass to crawling through a dungeon.
