it was great when it came out
unless you cant afford an sp or ds there is no other reason to buy this unless your getting it for like 5 dollars or less the last one i bought i think i paid like .50 or dollar at garage sale they make great throw aways for little kids it was kind of messed up how they put these out then... Fun toy, but very basic games.
Fun little handheld game, but it is definitely not cutting edge! We keep ours in the bathroom for a quick game while, uh, in the bathroom. I like that you can use games from the original Game Boy in it, too! It is very easy to use. My favorite game for it is Tetris. Read full review »

So basic it's not even funny...
As a gift I was given a GBA and 2 games. (pacman and finding nemo.) The system itself is quite bulky (but not too heavy) and the system has a giant flaw: NO BACKLIGHT!

Now is the perfect time to grab up the GBA and GBAsp's. With the release of the DS these systems are at an all time low in price, but games are still being produced and will continuously be produced until all the kinks are worked out with the DS.
