Cons Enemies can one-hit kill, dead characters do not come back, frustrating

I’ve long been a fan of turn-based strategy/rpg games.  I’ve written in the past about some of the older ones I played, like the Shining in the Darkness series, and I couldn’t begin to tell you how many times I played Warsong on my Sega Genesis.  To this day, Dragonforce... Read full review »

The games for GBA and DS are cheaper and better. For fans, mostly!

Pros Fun To Play, Challenging
Cons No Multiplayer Mode, No Online Play

I found the subhuman plot of the console fire emblem games less appealing than the ones for Game boy advance and the DS are better. This game follows the gamecube version and you get to use Ike from Brawl. It's a good game if you really like the turn-based strategy games, but I prefer both the... Read full review »

Fire Emblem series lands on the Wii with Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn. Sequel to Path of Radiance offers more cg anime scenes, larger class of characters, 3rd tier classes and a host of improvements. The version I bought-na also had a character art gallery not in japanese release-nice! For any... Read full review »

It's over. I finally defeated "Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn" early this morning. Normally after completing a video game, I feel a sense of accomplishment - or perhaps a rush from the excitement. There was none of that this morning, however. I feel like I've survived some sort of torture camp, and made... Read full review »

In 2007, the long running Nintendo series appeared on the Wii for the first time. For those not familiar with the series, I'll give a brief background of the series. Fire Emblem first started in 1990 as a Japan only Game Boy game. The series finally debuted in America in 2003 on the Game Boy... Read full review »

Ever since playing Fire Emblem Sacred Stones for the Gameboy Advanced I have been a big fan of the Fire Emblem series. When I heard that they were making a sequel to Fire Emblem Path of Radiance for the Wii I was real excited. I had so much fun playing Fire Emblem Path of Radiance so I was really... Nintendo's strategy RPG series marches onto Wii with Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn. As in previous games, players must gradually build their army from dozens of pre-existing characters and then command them in turn-based combat on grid-based battlefields. Objectives range from defeating a specific unit to simply surviving for a set number of turns. Forgoing the Wii's motion-sensing capabilities in favor of a traditional control scheme, Radiant Dawn uses the directional pad and buttons to move troops and issue commands. One new feature is the ability to permanently save progress during battles.Set three years after the events depicted in 2005's Path of Radiance, Radiant Dawn initially focuses on the war-torn continent of Tellius.
