New Nikon N65 Is A "Contender" For Best Amateur SLR
During the last few years Nikon has embarked on a complete reorganization of their photo/optics business. The goal was to restore Nikon to the number one position in the digital/analog camera marketplace with both pros and amateurs. The result of this re-organization was a group of groundbreaking... Wonderful New Camera
I recently had the chance to try this new camera from Nikon before it had been released to the public. It seems as if Nikon is coming out with something for everyone these days and this camera further extends their increasing popularity and diversity. I was very happy with the results of my trial... Nikon's N65 - A Beginner's Gateway to Excellence
What a wonderful time to be an aspiring photographer. A novitiate image-maker today has never had a greater choice in cameras or seen better value and number of features for the money. Even as high tech digital imaging becomes increasingly popular with shutterbugs, conventional SLR cameras are... Read full review »
I didn't throw it down the slope, it slipped and bounced...
For Christmas 2001 I received/purchased the F65 (N65 in the US) as a camera that would fulfill my newfound hobby of photography. I didn't need anything fancy, but something that would provide great quality, be lightweight (for backpacking), and offered a variety of features and effects without... Read full review »

Then I heard about the Nikon N65. With its easy-to-use buttons and...

Great SLR body for amateurs at any level
I am an amateur photographer who occasionally returns to the hobby for the joy of it. I first took a class in middle school with an old Brownie. My parents went on their travels with Olympic cameras -- first an OM-1 and then an OM-2, and my mother shot fabulous slides in China, Nepal, and other... Read full review »
Great intro camera, but not for the hardcore user
I purchased the N65 for a young nephew who's just getting involved in photography. For the most part, this camera fits his needs. It's highly automated and allows him to do high speed photography (sports), something many point and shoot 35mm cameras simply can't do.
I've been using a...
