It was a great camera...until
We purchased the Nikon 950 for our R&D department about 6 months ago as an upgrade to our older Sony digital camera. We used the camera to take about 40 or 50 pictures a month for users manuals.
The camera worked very well for the first 5 months before we started to have problems with...

An excellent digital camera, well worth the money
Purchased the camera based on excellent reviews received and the NIKON name. Camera is very easy to use and comes with a complete users manual (on CD). It would have been nice to have this manual included in the box.
Camera produces professional looking photos by just following easy...

Digital Dream
Nikon has the name brand I have trusted for many years. My first 35mm was an old, used Nikon FM. So up front, I went to Nikon expecting quality... and that's what I got. This camera is all I expected and more. For the past year and a half, I have been using the office Sony Mavica - nice, easy to... Read full review »
A nice camera worth every penny!
Unless you've been hiding under a rock, you know that the future of photography is in digital. I knew this, so I saved up my money and went camera hunting. I knew I wanted a Nikon because of the great experience I have had with them on my manual camera. When I saw this camera at my local camera... Read full review »
GREAT PHOTOS-DECENT PRICE
I Always wanted to take photos like a professional and the Nikon coolpix 950 gave me the options needed to accomplish this. Though a little pricey, $999.00 retail. I found mine on the net for $750.00. At this price I was one step closer to taking great photos and printing them at home.
I found...

Best Deal for the Money
I am a little behind times with my digital camera and I plan on upgrading soon but for now I still use my Nikon Coolpix 950 on a regular basis and it is still chugging. I get great 8x10 photos even though it is on 2.0 mp. I convinced my dad to purchase the newer Coolpix 3100 and may follow suit... Read full review »
Unreliable
I got my 950 some time ago, my second digital camera, and used it extensively. The on-off switch was unreliable, in the end it packed in and I took the camera back to Nikon. They maintained the electronics had been destroyed beyond repair by water damage, and wouldn't do anything about the switch... Read full review »
The 950 is a great camera that you should find cheap
I have owned the coolpix 950 for almost 2 years. I am an avid photographer and have found it to be a wonderful little camera. I like to get right down to it without explaining specs you can easily just look up. The camera takes great pictures with resolutions good enough to be blown up to 8x10... Read full review »
This is all the camera you need!
After using 35mm film cameras for over 30 years, I am now a diehard fan of digital. The 950 is my second Nikon digital product. My first, a refurbished Coolpix 900, has been a trusty companion for over two years. Therefore, I purchased my Coolpix 950 as a factory refurbished unit.
The Coolpix...
