Don't go near it
I've had this since last November and it has given me nothing but grief. Needs to be unplugged at least once a day. Drops all of the time. A Mixed Bag
The WGT624 is rather a mixed bag. Some people have problems with it and others don't--however, many do. If you are a newbie or would like a hassle-free, stable router, don't touch this; at least, not until they get a GOOD firmware update and stop using their consumers as beta testers.

Worked OK for about 1 year, then.......
This router came new with a Dell computer package. Worked well for one year, although could never successfully network a printer to a wireless laptop. About six months ago router would stop about once a month and have to be reset. Now not working at all. Read full review »
Netgear WGT624V3 router
It works most of the time with no problems. When it acts up(every couple of days, then rebooting the router usually works. Sometimes nothing works and I just shut everything down for a couple hours and when I return it works normally. I am beyond the warranty period and it took a long time (months)... Read full review »

Do your homework....please.
I bought this router for a great price. I decided to buy it regardless of the "mixed bag" reviews that I saw online because I felt I was more technically inclined than the average user.
I installed all the latest firmware updates and used the basic settings (no 108mb enhancements, etc)...

Great Wireless Router for the Price!
I've had this router for about 7 months now and find it to be quite nice. It looks good and performs well. Note that this is a Pre-802.11n router. Now that the standard is now final there may have been changes that may cause problems working with true 802.11 cards.
