Pros Dual Band, ability to shut off wireless, but still have internet on LAN ports
Cons Plactic sems a little cheap, time will tell.
Recommended it? Yes

It had been about 9 years since we bought our last router and with the advances in technology we were falling behind the times.  Between the internet telephone we use dropping our calls to our son's computer throwing him off World of Warcrafts, it was time for a new one.  We started... Pros Easy setup and powerful, reliable performance
Cons Free Tech Support offered for only 90 days
Recommended it? Yes

We had been unhappy with our subscription to three of the Premium Channels from DISH Network for quite some time.  We were offered the same movies month after month, year after year, and were paying approximately $22 per month for the privilege.

I had been seeing so many ads for... Read full review »

Pros Dual band to reduce interference<br>Gigabet for wired connections
Cons Price
Recommended it? Yes

I purchased the WNDR3700 to replace my Netgear WNR2000.  The reason for the upgrade is I now work out of my home and have two desktops and one laptop that are hard wired into the network and have a second laptop and iPod Touch that I use wirelessly.

Setting up the router couldn't... Read full review »

Netgear Takes the Title

Pros Best-in-class quality. Dual-band N, top-end CPU, RAM; if this router doesn't work,...
Cons Current DD-WRT builds are buggy on this hardware; for once, run stock for better results.
Recommended it? Yes

This is probably the first high-end router that I can unambiguously recommend to both experts and novices.

I've been watching consumer-grade WIFI evolve with frustration and amusement for a number of years. For whatever reason, all the major vendors (from Linksys/Cisco to D-Link to Netgear)... Read full review »

Finally, a full-featured router that's reliable and has fairly usable web access control

byzmgao Oct 16, 2010
8 Helpfuls 9 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros Reliable, dual band, good range, running cool, easy setup, best web access control,
Cons The web access control still not perfect.
Recommended it? Yes

I have gone through an embarrassing number of routers in the last 10 years, possibly averaging one every year. The last few routers, a D-Link DIR-655 and a SMC WGBR14-N, all proved to be quite good, but the D-Link did not last very long (the thing run untouchablly hot when it was on, so it probably... A VERY GOOD REASON -- UPGRADE to "N" WIRELESS

I purchased the Netgear WNDR3700 Wireless Router to replacement for my aging Gear RangeMAX WPN824 Wireless Router which would have turn five years old in November. I needed to receive better throughput for streaming HD movies and faster... Read full review »

So Much Potential...

Pros oodles of features, N router
Cons questionable range, bridge mode only supports WEP
Recommended it? Yes

It's hard for me to compare Netgear's WNDR3700 to similar routers for two reasons: 1. It's my first N router. 2. My family bought another one of these.

Our house is fairly long, and the Buffalo G router we had just wasn't providing reliable, strong service from one corner all the way... Read full review »

Pros flawless simultaneous 2.4ghz and 5.0ghz operation. simple menu options and setup.
Cons very pricey. some features might not be practically useful...
Recommended it? Yes

I bought the Netgear WNDR3700 Wireless Router as a replacement for my aging WRT54GL. I wanted to get better throughput from my NAS and faster computer-computer connections.  The WNDR3700 acts like two wireless routers (2.4ghz and 5.0ghz) and supports four gigabit ethernet devices.
