Navigon 5100 Car Gps Receiver
3D maps Reality view, Automatic speed warnings
Navigation functionality not accurate, very slow in getting satellite signals.
The Bottom Line:
its an average product.
I bought navigon 5100, 2 months back, Can say okay worth for the money. Guides and navigates properly up to the extent but not really accurate as other garmin and tom tom. Reality view is a picture, but sometimes its really confusing...Zagat rating and reviews helps, battery can last long to 2 - 3 hours max, automatic speed warnings is handy in freeways.Initially whenever the Unit is turned on, it takes more time to load, and for acquire satellite signals it takes lot of time when ur in a remote area. If you are in a city and want to search the location in downtown, you have to be very careful as some times it says to take left or right lane, where left or right lane will never be there.Getting real time traffic is very useful, tht can save a lot of time, I somehow liked the design of this product, and 3D reality view is good, but sometimes, it shows in accurate views too, it happened to me one time..but other cases it was accurate.Overall its an okay product to try. Menus are easy to use, and as said Turn-by-turn directions including spoken street names via text-to-speech allow you to focus on the road ahead.
