Set in the city of Monstropolis, Disney/Pixar's Monsters, Inc. brings the animated feature film to life by letting players guide the big blue Sulley through eight stages of puzzling, platforming, 3D action. A monster of many talents, Sulley can run, jump and climb, push crates and other objects, sneak around to avoid enemies, and smash objects and enemies with his patented whip tail attack. And, of course, he sports a pretty mean scare, which is used to trigger switches and scare mice.<br><br>Loosely based on the movie's premise, the monsters who emerge from closets to scare children at night are part of a hidden world of corporate organization where the primary purpose is the production of "scream energy." Sulley's mission is to return a little girl named Boo back to the human world. While in pursuit of the elusive tyke, Sulley will meet up with a number of his fellow monsters, including Mike, his advice-dispensing best friend, and Randall, a scurrilous creature who is jealous of Sulley's reputation as Top Scarer.<br><br>In addition to exerting his physical skills to navigate the obstacle-filled levels that include such objects as steam, spikes, robotic creatures, and bottomless pits, Sulley must use his noggin (and the various hints and clues available) to figure out where to go and what to do next. There are keys to find, bouncy boxes to hop on for accessing higher platforms, and switches to flip, which unlock otherwise inaccessible areas of the various levels. Bonus levels are unlocked by finding the required number of discarded screams, and movie clips are unlocked by collecting missing scream canisters and scaring five mice in quick succession. <br><br>Designed to be especially suitable for younger gamers, Disney/Pixar's Monsters, Inc. is supplemented by a number of "enhanced DVD" features, including sketches, additional movie clips, a special "Makings of" featurette, and a collection of Pixar artwork.
